A Tweet Birthday

The colours at the Play Date Cafe this week really did my head in!  My first two efforts got chucked out and I finally decided to go easy on myself and keep it really CAS.  I broke out some more unused Skipping Stones Design stamps so this card is also headed for the Simon Says Stamp New Something challenge.  Now I'm off to dig out my desk.  I started sorting it today and it always seems to get worse before it gets better.  I barely have enough room to move my mouse around but I had to take a little tidying break to write up this post.  :)
Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Cream) Pacon, (Certainly Celery, Pool Party) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Everyday Blessings) Skipping Stones Design
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Certainly Celery) Stampin' Up
Gem:  Doodlebug Design

Impression Plate:  (Linen & Canvas) PTI

It was worth the effort to stick with it, because this card is just perfect. I love that swirly bird and the soft green stamped scroll!

ew, desk cleaning...how depressing. The last time I did that it took 3 days, and yep, it's always worse before it gets better. Almost time to get at it again because I'm running out of room under the desk to put my feet!
I love that sentiment - puns are the best! - and the pattern on the bird...gorgeous :) So glad to see you peeking out once again!

Jen, love this! So clean and fresh, with a fancy bird as the focal point. It couldn't get any better!

Thanks for playing with us at The Play Date Cafe, and Happy New Year!

i LOVE tidying breaks, i usually get sidetracked by so many other things, i take more of a holiday than a break. the colours are so sweet and go so well with the cute birdie.
