Birthday Flower Cluster

Today's card is a challenge three-fer as I'm playing along with Time Out (Spring theme), CAS on Friday (Flowers) and AAA Birthday (Flowers).  I wish I could say I watercolored that background but it's actually patterned paper from Altenew.  Isn't it gorgeous?  It was exactly what I was looking for to put behind the Simon Says Flower Cluster die and the small sentiment from MFT was the perfect complement for it.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White, Black) Papertrey Ink
Patterned Paper:  (Enchanting Washes 6x6) Altenew
Stamps:  (Sentiment from Simple Sentiments #1) My Favourite Things
Inks:  (VersaMark) Tsukineko
Embossing Powder:  (Opaque Bright White Super Fine) Wow
Dies:  (Flower cluster) Simon Says Stamp, (Flag) My Favourite Things
Other:  (Nuvo Ebony Black Crystal Drops) Tonic

Die Cuts Only

I've got a quick and easy card today.  This one is for the Colour Throwdown and Just Us Girls (No stamping).  I used some layering butterflies from MFT to bring in the blues and then used the light grey for their bodies and the sentiment.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Baja Breeze, Night of Navy, Smokey Slate) Stampin' Up
Dies:  (Butterflies) My Favourite Things, (Thank You) Poppy Stamps
Other:  (Nuvo Navy Blue Crystal Drops) Tonic

Hope Your Day Rocks

Today's card is for the CAS Colours & Sketches and Paper Players challenges.  I pulled out some oldie but goodie Paper Smooches stamps and kept things simple by just stamping them on coloured card stock.  I fussy cut them and layered them up with foam tape for lots of fun dimension.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White, Black) Papertrey Ink, (Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (All from Beboppin) Paper Smooches
Inks:  (VersaMark, VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Embossing Powder:  (Opaque Bright White Super Fine) Wow
Other:  (Nuvo Rhubarb Crumble & Oyster Grey Crystal Drops) Tonic

You Make My Tail Wag

I've got a card tonight for three challenges - Colour Hues, Shopping Our Stash (Fur babies) and My Favorite Things (sketch).  This pooch is from an older MFT set and I've not used this particular image before.  I thought he'd fit perfectly peeking out of the circle and leaning over the flag.  This came together pretty quickly given how rarely I've been crafting lately which isn't usually the case so I was pretty chuffed about that!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Pool Party, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (All from You Make My Tail Wag) My Favourite Things
Ink:  (VersaFine Onyx Black, Memento Tuxedo Black) Tsukineko
Dies:  (Essential Circles) Essentials by Ellen, (Flag) My Favourite Things
Markers:  (E33, E35, E37, 100) Copic
Other:  (NuvoNavy Blue Crystal Drops) Tonic

Woofing You

I've got a little CAS number today for the AAA Cards 7th birthday celebration.  This is the first time I've inked up this MFT pup so I'm also going to play along with Darnell's NBUS challenge.  I also broke out these Essential Circles dies from EBE for the first time to help in my continuing quest to use up my patterned paper one scrap at a time!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Tempting Turquoise) Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper:  (Happy Hooray 6x6) Pebbles
Stamps:  (All from Woof Pack) My Favourite Things
Ink:  (VersaFine Onyx Black, Memento Tuxedo Black) Tsukineko

Have A Phone-omenal Day!

I haven't had a chance to do any crafting for weeks so I was happy to finally have a day to spend making cards.  I recently got this adorable phone die and stamp set from SugarPea and decided it had to be the first thing I used.  I decided to play along with the Colour Throwdown and AAA Birthday's 2nd birthday celebration.  I die cut all the pieces twice from yellow and black cardstock so that I could make two cards at once and I used a Watercolor Frame stamp from Altenew to add some interest and dimension behind the phones.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White, True Black) Papertrey Ink, (Daffodil Delight, Smokey Slate) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Top sentiment from Birthday Greetings, Background splatter from Watercolor Frames) Altenew, (Bottom sentiment from Call Me) SugarPea Designs
Ink:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Silver Stone, Industrial Diamond) Altenew
Dies:  (Phone) SugarPea Designs
Other:  (Nuvo Dandelion Yellow Crystal Drops) Toni

CASology #391

Welcome to Week 391 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

Polaroid frame dies are so fun to use and are such a great way to frame a simple image and add a little extra pizzazz to a design.  Because my panda is black and white I went for a fun patterned frame and coloured his hat to make one of the patterned paper colours pop!

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

***You've got 2 weeks for this challenge!***
Link your creations to the CASology blog by 9am Monday, 7 June (CDT).
