Yeti & Kitty

Hi there!

I have two more cards to share today.  First up is for the Stripes challenge over at Just Us Girls.  I love this striped paper and used dotted paper from the same collection to paper piece the yeti's scarf.  I think he's definitely ready for the holidays with his hot cocoa, Santa hat and rosy cheeks!

Next up is a card for the Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes challenge.  Every once in a while I drift outside my CAS comfort zone and go a little crazy with the patterned paper.  I really had fun with this one and love how it turned out.  And how cute is Newton stalking that poor defenseless piece of cake!  Actually that's pretty much how I am whenever cake is involved...   Nom nom nom!!

Floral Duo

Hello there!

I've got two cards to share with you this evening.  First up is for the Freshly Made Sketches and Colour Throwdown challenges.  These Tall Blooms stamps are some of my favourite from Reverse Confetti.  I coloured them with Copics and die cut them.  I added a little twine bow to the middle bloom and popped it up on foam tape.  The sentiment is from Altenew.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Bermuda Bay, Smokey Slate, Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Flowers & leaves from Tall Blooms) Reverse Confetti, (Sentiment from Many Thanks) Altenew

Markers:  (YG03, YG23, BG01, BG15) Copic

My next card was inspired by Michelle W over at the Muse challenge.  I adhered pretty closely to Michelle's layout & colour combo but added extra stripes and used die cut flower and leaves instead of stamped ones.

Patterned Paper:  (Black & White Stripes 6x6) My Favourite Things

CASology #314

Welcome to Week 314 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

Today's cue word gave me the perfect chance to finally ink up this sentiment from MFT which I think is totally adorable.  Of course, I had to make a girl card too - just 'cause.  :)

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

Hello, Butterfly

Hi there!

I've got one more card to share today - this one for the Simon Says Wednesday challenge to Bling It On!  This Altenew butterfly has been sitting on my desk since I was playing around with Jennifer McGuire's fast watercoloring technique.  I added some Nuvo drops to it for a bit of texture and interest.  The Hello is by Mama Elephant and I covered it with Glossy Accents.  I finished it off with American Crafts glitter tape and, of course, a few tiny gems.

Teal Typewriter

Hiya!

I'm just popping in with a card for the Addicted to Stamps and More photo inspiration challenge.  All the pictures in the collage are fabulous and I love the colours but I took my inspiration from the teal typewriter in the middle and broke out some coloured embossing powder (which I hardly ever use but really should use more often).

Flowers in a Teapot

Good morning!

I have a CAS card for two challenges - CAS on Friday (Flowers) and The Flower Challenge (Anything Goes).  I inked up some NBUS Flora & Fauna stamps for this design.  The red flowers and shadow are stamped directly onto the card base and the large flower and teapot are popped up on foam tape for a bit of dimension.  The colour palette actually came from Tracey's Muse card but I was totally disorganized and missed the deadline for that.  Doh!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink
Stamps:  (Flowers & teapot from You Me Teaset, Shadow from Texture Set) Flora & Fauna
Ink:  (Memento Tuxedo Black) Tsukineko, (Crimson, Turquoise, Silver Stone) Altenew
Markers:  (YR04, Y38) Copic
Other:  (Nuvo Ebony Black Crystal Drops) Tonic

Froggie Friend

Hello hello!

I'm popping in with a card for the sketch challenge at Just Add Ink which I rotated 180 degrees.  I recently got a few stamp sets from Your Next Stamp and it was a no-brainer that this little froggie would end up in my shopping cart.  He reminds me of the tiny tree frogs we have here that sing all night.  They're especially noisy right now since we just had a good rain shower.  I sprinkled some Brushos on watercolor paper, spritzed them and once they were dry I stamped and die cut the froggie.  I stamped him a second time on white cardstock to cut out the eyes.  I popped him up on a Lil' Inker pierced square and I used a sentiment and speech bubble from Heffy Doodle.

I actually had so much fun with him that I made a few other similar cards at the same time.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Textured White) Bazzill, (White) Papertrey Ink, (Tangelo Twist, Night of Navy) Stampin' Up, (Watercolor) Ranger
Stamps:  (Frog from Sticky Note) Your Next Stamp, (Sentiment from Whatcha Saying) Heffy Doodle
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko

Paints:  (Orange, Sea Green, Lime Green Brushos) Colourcraft

CASology #313

Welcome to Week 313 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

I'd been wanting some of the Technique Tuesday Sassy sets for ages and finally broke down and bought a few.  How perfect that one had this little dress with it just in time for this challenge. It's like it was meant to be!

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

CASology #312

Welcome to Week 312 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

When I'm sick nothing seems to heal my sore throat like some hot soup.  Classic chicken soup is always good but there's something about tomato soup that seems extra comforting.  How about you?  What's your favourite healing soup?

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!
