CASology #57

Welcome to Week 57 of CASology!  Here's the cue word for this week:

The first thing that came to mind when I thought of a picnic was ants!!  Actually, they're pretty constantly on my mind in the summer as they're everywhere.  You cannot leave even the tiniest crumb of food on the counter or you'll have a mile long trail of ants marching through the house.  And when we're going through a dry spell they come inside looking for water.  It's a pretty constant battle.  Sometimes they're not even after anything - they're just passing through.  Luis and I woke up one night recently to find them in our bed.  They came in through the AC unit, took a shortcut across the bed and then headed to the living room and out the patio door.  They weren't even after food or anything!!!  Nightmare. Okay, ant rant over.  The little ant on my card has big things on his mind - he's clearly a go getter! Who wouldn't dream about a gingham watermelon?  LOL!  Enough of my silliness.  Time for you to check out the designs from the rest of the DT and then start working on your entry!

And this week's guest designer:

Link your creations to the CASology blog and remember that submissions are due by 4pm CST on Sunday, August 18th.

I can't believe you even have an ant stamp in your collection after reading your post. Ick...I mean ick! Your take on this cue card is as always spot on and with a humorous twist, too!

Love the use of the red gingham! Such a great use of two classic picnic themes! (although I'm with Meghan - I think I could stand them in the kitchen, but not in the bedroom!)

How can there be a bumper crop of ants in Bermuda and Ontario at the same time? Maybe they really will take over the world. :P In the meantime, I absolutely adore this card. Teeny ant, large gingham watermelon, perfect sentiment... love it!

OMG, in the bed!!! Nothing like rolling over to find a bug (been there, never want to do that again.) I'm not scared of them, but holy crap I hate being surprised!
This is pretty much the only kind of ant I'm going to enjoy ;) Awesome concept - love his dream bubble :)

Jen, I just finished killing a few ants on our kitchen counter before logging on and reading this...so glad to hear we are not alone in our battle against the ants in our house! Will it ever end?! Maybe if I left out some gingham watermelon...word on the street is ants DREAM of it! Thanks for the tip (and seriously, GREAT card)!
