Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

Hello there!

I've got a card to share today for the Baby challenge at Addicted To CAS.  I had fun mixing and matching stamp companies for this one.  The baby bird and sentiment are Mama Elephant, the background pattern is Altenew and the star frame is Avery Elle.  I love it when they all play so well together!  Of course I couldn't just make a girl card so I made a boy card too.

CASology #308

Welcome to Week 308 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

One thing I really struggle with when making cards is using outside-the-box colours.  I have to remind myself that clouds don't always have to be white or grey, leaves don't have to be green, etc.  We're creating our own little world on each card so it can be whatever we want it to be.  Just have fun and create a world where striped clouds exist!

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

Sailboat Thanks

Hiya!

It was so good to finally have a decent stint in the Craft Cave yesterday.  I'd been struggling with finding time and mojo to get anything done so yesterday was a relief.  Why is it that some days I sit there with no clue how to put anything together and other days Luis has to drag me out of there to get me to stop?  So frustrating.  Anyway I've got a card here for two challenges - Fusion (sketch only) and Simon Says Wednesday challenge (Fun in the Sun).  The sailboat and wave die are from WPlus9 and the sentiment is Altenew.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Textured White) Bazzill, (Bermuda Bay, Island Indigo, Tranquil Tide, Smokey Slate) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Sentiment from Many Thanks) Altenew
Ink:  (VersaMark) Tsukineko

Yellow & Teal

Hello!

I've got two cards to share today for 4 challenges.  First up is for CAS Colours & Sketches and Inkspirational.  I finally got my hands on these adorable MFT birthday chicks.  I inked them up for the first time today and I think they're going to get a lot of use!  I coloured this little guy with Copics and added some glitter to the cupcakes and hat.  He and the sentiment are popped up on foam tape.

Patterned Paper:  (Happy Hooray 6x6) Pebbles

Next is a card for Freshly Made Sketches and Just Add Ink ("T").  I used some older supplies for this card.  The thanks die is Avery Elle, the sentiment is Mama Elephant and the paper is Echo Park.  I didn't really mean to stick to one colour palette today but hey if it works it works!

High Five or Fist Bump?

Hi there!

I'm popping in quickly with a card for the AAA Cards Use a Frame challenge.  I have a few different frame dies from Paper Smooches (which I'm pretty sure have never seen the light of day) so I pulled one out for this challenge and cut it out with some striped paper.  The stamps are from Pinkfresh and I LOVE them!  I am a sucker for any cat or dog image and this set has quite a few in it.  I thought these guys looked like they could be high 5ing (or maybe even fist bumping) so the congrats sentiment seemed the most appropriate.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink
Patterned Paper:  (Black & White Basics 6x6) My Favourite Things
Stamps:  (All from Playful Animal Friends 2) Pinkfresh Studio
Inks:  (Firebrick, Bamboo, Volcano Lake) Altenew

CASology #307

Welcome to Week 307 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

It's definitely that time of year (in the Northern hemisphere anyway) to be zooming around in a convertible with the top down.  Now to find a convertible...  This one from Paper Smooches is super cute and I paired it with a sentiment from PS's very first release way back in the day.  Some stamps will never get old.  :)

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

Bike & Bird

I had some unexpected crafty time today so I have a couple more cards to share.  First is for the photo inspiration challenge at Just Add Ink.  I pulled out another old Market Street Stamps set which had the perfect bicycle image for the challenge.  I used some MFT patterned paper and an MFT stitched arch die to frame it and popped that up on foam tape.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Smokey Slate, Basic Grey) Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper:  (Thick & Thin 6x6) My Favourite Things
Stamps:  (Bike & sentiment from Riding By) Market Street Stamps
Ink:  (VersaFine Onyx Black Tsukineko
Dies:  (Stitched arch) My Favourite Things
Markers:  (Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink) Stampin' Up
Other:  (Nuvo Liquid Mercury Crystal Drops) Tonic
Gems:  Recollections

Next is for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge where Anything Goes.  They're showcasing WPlus9 products this week and I think this is one of the first sets I bought from them way back when.  It's a lovely set and has some more masculine images (which is good since just about every sympathy card I make has flowers).  I stamped the reeds and sentiment on this pretty piece of ombre paper and popped up the bird on foam tape.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Smokey Slate) Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper:
Stamps:  (All from Guiding Light) WPlus9
Ink:  (Greys) Altenew
Other:  (Nuvo Oyster Grey Crystal Drops) Tonic

Pineapples & Kitties

Hello hello!

I've got 2 cards to share today for 5 challenges.  First up is for Freshly Made Sketches and The Colour Throwdown.  (The pierced rectangle looks black in this photo but is actually blue).  I love this EBE pineapple set - it's full of fabulous sentiments in fun mixed fonts.  I fussy cut the pineapple and popped it up on foam pads.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Pineapple & sentiment from Stay Golden) Essentials by Ellen
Ink:  (VersaMark) Tsukineko, (Sunkissed, Warm Sunshine, Parrot) Altenew
Embossing Powder:  (Opaque Bright White Super Fine) Wow

Next is a card for CAS Colours and SketchesSeize the Birthday (Anything Goes) and Inky Paws (Cute Animals).  I inked up an NBUS Newton's Nook stamp and coloured him with Copics.  The party hat is from a different set but what's a birthday celebration without a party hat right?  :)

Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink
Patterned Paper:  (Little by Little 6x6) American Crafts
Stamps:  (Cat & sentiment from Newton Loves Coffee, Hat from Newton Loves Cake) Newton's Nook

Hello Sun

Hi there!

I had hoped to get more crafting done this weekend but we had a bit of a health scare with Tex and so I've been laying low with him.  My poor old boy is 14 now and has a whole host of health issues but he still loves his walks and his food so as long as that keeps up I'm happy.  Considering the state of him when we got him (adopted at 11 years old) we are thrilled that he's been with us for almost 3 years now.  We're just enjoying every day with him and loving him to bits.

Now onto the card I did manage to make.  I took inspiration from CAS(E) This Sketch, the photo at Inkspirational and the theme (Warm) at Time Out.  I immediately thought of this image from Market Street Stamps (sadly no longer open) when I saw the photo and was excited to dig it out and dust it off.  I used Firebrick Altenew ink to stamp the suns in the background.  The other was stamped, coloured with Copics, fussy cut and popped up on foam tape.  The sentiment is also from Altenew.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Sun from Life Is Beautiful) Market Street Stamps, (Sentiment from Bejeweled) Altenew
Inks:  (VersaMark, Memento Tuxedo Black) Tsukineko
Embossing Powder:  (Opaque Bright White Super Fine) Wow
Markers:  (R05, YR02, YR07, YR16, Y17, Y38, Bo5) Copic
