Birthday Balloons

Good morning!  I'm popping in with a simple one layer card for Lawnscaping's One Layer challenge. I almost dismissed this challenge completely as my cards usually consist of paper piecing and lots of dimensional adhesive.  However, after some pondering, I came up with this.  I stamped the colours with the back side of the balloon stamp and then stamped the outline on top.  I added the strings in a light shade of grey and then finished it with this sentiment from Grand Greetings.  I really must make more one layer cards.  They're so mail friendly and also easier on the hands - no cramped fingers from too much fussy cutting!  :D

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill
Stamps:  (Balloon from Admit One, Sentiment from Grand Greetings) Lawn Fawn
Ink:  (VersaFine Onyx Black, Memento London Fog) Tsukineko, (Rose Red, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist, Perfect Plum) Stampin' Up

This card totally rocks! I don't totally understand how you got the colours to look so amazing on top of each other but it is so effective

You got such great depth with only one layer! Wow - love this; almost looks like layers of tissue paper. Another winner, Jen.
