Quartet

Hi there!  I have a quartet of cards to share today for 9 different challenges so I'm going to get straight into it.  First up is a card for the Addicted to Stamps and More CAS challenge using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.  I used some NBUS Altenew Christmas stamps and paper pieced them with coloured cardstock.  The poinsettia is layered 3 times and has lots of dimension in real life.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill, (Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green, Bashful Blue) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Flower & leaves from Festive Silhouettes) Altenew, (Sentiment from CL343) Hero Arts
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Dies:  (Stitched circle) Lil' Inker Designs
Glitter:  (Clear Wink of Stella) Zig
Gems:  Recollections

Next up is my take on Ardyth's card over at Muse.  I stuck pretty close to the inspiration using the same Mama Elephant pandas and the same colour scheme.  I'm also entering this over at the Seize the Birthday Anything Goes challenge

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Real Red, Sahara Sand) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Panda & balloons from Pandamonium) Mama Elephant, (Sentiment from Birthday Greetings) Altenew
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Gems:  Recollections

This card uses the neutral colour scheme from Colour Me along with the Hardware challenge over at The Male Room.  I used Delicata Golden Glitz ink for the Altenew tree and decorated it with silver brads.  I was so excited to use some of them as I have zillions and I cut the "legs" off of them so they'd sit nice and flat.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Crumb Cake, Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Tree from Festive Silhouettes) Altenew, (Sentiment from 'Tis the Season Sentiments) Papertrey Ink
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black, Delicata Golden Glitz) Tsukineko

Last but not least is a card using the current Colour Throwdown colours.  I used a lot of my favourite Paper Smooches dies for this card so I'm entering it in the new PS monthly challenge - this month to use gold.  Finally I'm also entering it in the Simon Says Wednesday Thanks/Thanksgiving challenge.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill, (Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Basic Black, Brushed Gold) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Mason jar from Crystal Clear) Paper Smooches
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Dies:  (Flowers, leaves, thanks) Paper Smooches
Washi Tape:  Crafty Basics
Gems:  Recollections

Flowers & Trees

Hi there!  I haven't been around too much this past week because we've been busy getting Tex settled in.  Aside from just getting used to his new home he's had training on the Invisible Fence system and a visit to the vet to contend with.  He's taking it all in stride though - he continues to amaze us!

Anyway I finally made it into the Craft Cave today and got a couple of cards put together.  First up is a card for the Muse challenge and the One Layer Simplicity Multitude of Gratitude challenge.  I was inspired by Tracey's flower and layout but used more autumnal colours to represent this month of gratitude.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink
Stamps:  (Flower from Calico, Sentiment from Chit Chat) Paper Smooches
Inks:  (Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Chocolate Chip) Stampin' Up
Gems:  Recollections

My second card uses the design from Freshly Made Sketches and the palette from Colour Me.  I pulled out some Woodware stamps that I've had for years and paper pieced them with solid coloured cardstock (definitely one of my favourite techniques).  I have to dash off to work for a couple of hours now so that's it for today.  Hope you've all had a lovely weekend!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Real Red, Tangelo Twist, So Saffron, Cucumber Crush, Soft Suede) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Tree & holly) Woodware, (Sentiment from Joy to the World) Avery Elle
Ink:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Die:  (Star) Mama Elephant
Gems:  Recollections

Giraffes, Trees & Planes

Thank you for all the love, thoughts and prayers you've sent out to Luis and me.  We're both still feeling very raw and more than a little lost without Atticus as I'm sure we will for a while.  Today we've been trying to keep busy - Luis puttering around in the yard and me in the Craft Cave.  I have 3 cards to share but probably not much chatter.

First up is for the Colour Me challenge using a Papertrey cover plate and Altenew stamps.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Tangerine Tango, Cajun Craze, Pool Party, Lost Lagoon) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (All from Geometric Menagerie) Altenew
Inks:  (Memento Tuxedo Black) Tsukineko
Dies:  (Horizontal Stripe Cover Plate) Papertrey Ink
Markers:  (YR68, E08) Copic
Gems:  Recollections

Next is a card for the Muse challenge.  I was inspired by the layout of Tracey's card and the tree and banner.  All products are Paper Smooches.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Soft Suede) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Tree & large gift from Winter Groves, Small gift from Santa Paws, Sentiment from Christmas Sampler) Paper Smooches
Inks:  (VersaMark, VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Embossing Powder:  (Opaque Bright White Super Fine) Wow
Dies:  (Flag Tags) Paper Smooches
Punch:  (1/4" hole punch) McGill

Finally is a card using the design from Freshly Made Sketches and the Colour Throwdown palette.  The "clouds" are made with white pigment ink steamed through a Crafter's Workshop stencil.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Rose Red, Marina Mist, Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (All from Plane Awesome) Taylored Expressions
Inks:  (VersaMark, VersaFine Onyx Black, Memento Luxe Wedding Dress) Tsukineko
Embossing Powder:  (Opaque Bright White Super Fine) Wow

Flowers & Skyscrapers

Hi there!  Luis was out all day at a work party so I armed myself with a huge cup of coffee and locked myself in the Craft Cave until he called me to pick him up.  It was fabulous!  I'm going to share 3 of the cards tonight and then more over the next couple of days.

First up is my card for the Muse challenge.  I stuck pretty closely to Anita's inspiration because I thought it was gorgeous.  I love the gold and turquoise together especially the splattered gold over the top of the stencil.  I didn't do any splattering but instead added some gems to my flower.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Basic Black) Stampin' Up, (Gold)
Inks:  (Peacock Feathers Distress Ink) Ranger
Dies:  (Thank You) Avery Elle, (Flower) Mama Elephant
Stencil:  The Crafter's Workshop
Gems:  Recollections

Next up is a card using the Colour Throwdown palette and the design from Freshly Made Sketches.  FMS is celebrating their 200th sketch!  Whoop whoop! I only discovered them fairly recently but I am really enjoying playing along with them.  I paired up some CAS-ual Fridays, Avery Elle and Mama Elephant dies with an Altenew sentiment.  Love how well they all play together!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Pumpkin Pie, Cucumber Crush, Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Sentiment from Many Thanks) Altenew
Inks:  (VersaMark) Tsukineko
Embossing Paste:  (Seafoam White) Ranger
Dies:  (Leaves) CAS-ual Fridays, (Flower from Fill in the Blank Icons) Avery Elle, (Curved line) Mama Elephant
Gems:  Recollections

Last but not least is a card using the Freshly Made Sketches design again but this time with the palette from Colour Me.  I dusted off my Die-namics Skyline Border from My Favourite Things and and the Starburst Background from Hero Arts - both oldies (but very underused) goodies!  And that's it for tonight.  Hope all you had a wonderful weekend!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Basic Grey) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Sentiment from Sophie's Sentiments) Lawn Fawn, (Starburst Background) Hero Arts
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Butter Bar) Hero Arts

Flowers, Triangles & Specs

Hello again!  I'm back with a few more of the cards I created yesterday.  First up is a card for the Muse challenge using the Colour Me…Playful colours. This is Anita's first card as a Muse designer - whoop whoop!  If you haven't seen her work before you should take a moment to check it out - she has a great CAS style that I love.  As you can see from my card I really liked her Muse design and I've stuck very close to it in terms of layout and images.  Her adorable Woodware flowers reminded me of these Simon Says ones that had yet to see ink so it was a great excuse to pull them out. Also if it wasn't for Anita's card I probably wouldn't have come up with anything for the Colour Me challenge but the two fit together perfectly.  Love when that happens!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Blackberry Bliss) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Flowers from Scribble Flowers) Simon Says Stamp, (Sentiment from Grand Greetings) Lawn Fawn
Inks:  (VersaMark, VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Pink Pirouette) Calypso Coral, Garden Green) Stampin' Up
Embossing Powder:  (Seafoam White) Ranger
Gems:  Recollections

This next card is also a two-for-one challenge card.  I combined the Little Tangles die cutting challenge with the latest Colour Throwdown palette.  These colours rock!  I love the lime green and aqua together and the greys are the perfect compliments.  And how cute is the little bucket in the inspiration photo?  I want one!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Lucky Limeade, Coastal Cabana, Smokey Slate, Basic Grey) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Sentiment from Just For You) Neat & Tangled
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Die:  (Tiny Triangles) Neat & Tangled
Gems:  Recollections

This card is a CAS design for the current Addicted to Stamps & More challenge.  It also uses the palette from ColourQ where they are celebrating their 300th challenge! Whoop whoop!  I've been playing along with ColourQ since I first began blogging and they provided me with one of my fist challenge recognitions which meant so much to me when I was starting out.  Arielle and all the team members rock! The stamps are all from Paper Smooches.  That's it from me today but I'll be back tomorrow!  Have a great night!

A Trio of Cards

Hi there!  I've been scrambling this week to build up stock for an event on Saturday night.  I snuck into the Craft Cave for a couple of hours today and with the help of a few challenges I came up with three cards.  First up is a card for the Addicted to CAS Black, White & Gold challenge.  I debated with myself as to whether this is CAS or not but there's such a wide range of what is considered CAS and I don't think it's any busier than Vicki's gorgeous card so I'm going to enter it.  It was certainly simple enough to put together and I think it's pretty clean and graphic.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Basic Black, Brushed Gold) Stampin' Up
Stamp:  (Sentiment from Magnolias for Her) Altenew
Ink:  (VersaMark) Tsukineko
Embossing Powder:  (Opaque Bright White Super Fine) Wow
Dies:  (Striped cover plate, Butterfly) Papertrey Ink
Gems:  Recollections

Next up is an entry for the sketch challenge at Stampin' Celebration. I turned the sketch 180 degrees and I pulled out some old (circa 2009) My Mind's Eye papers and an oldie but goodie Lawn Fawn stamp set.  This card also came together quickly with some simple paper piecing and I'm always excited to use up some patterned paper!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill
Patterned Paper:  (Love Me Do) My Mind's EyeStamps:  (Kite & sentiment from Sunny Skies) Lawn Fawn
Ink:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Gem:  Recollections

Last but not least is a card for CAS on Sunday and Colour Me.  CAS on Sunday wanted white plus one colour and Colour Me is having a monochromatic week so these two challenges worked perfectly together. There's only one tiny bit of stamping on this card and the rest is die cuts and a few gems.  Another simple card to put together.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Crisp Cantaloue, Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Stamp;  (Sentiment from Super Script) Altenew
Ink:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Stampin' Up
Dies:  (Small Circle Burst) Memory Box, (Happy) Mama Elephant
Gems:  Recollections

Bright & Cheery Thank You

Hello hello!  After a day of non-stop rain yesterday it's cool, dry and breezy today. We took Atti for a good long walk and then Luis started puttering around in the yard while I headed for the Craft Cave.  This card came together really quickly.  I had been playing around with some embossing paste the other day and had embossed the yellow pattern on the card but then wasn't quite sure what to do with it so I put it aside. Thankfully the Colour Me challenge was kind enough to provide a colour palette that included Daffodil Delight so I pulled out the card and got to work.  The lined pattern in the Colour Me picture made me think of this My Cute Stamps flower.  The little butterfly was also in the set so I added him to the mix.  They're the perfect images for a bright and cheery card which is what the Paper Players are calling for in their Think Spring challenge so I'll be joining them as well.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill, (Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral, Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Flower & butterfly from Celebrate Today) My Cute Stamps, (Sentiment from Many Thanks) Altenew
Inks: (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Daffodil Delight) Stampin' Up
Punch:  (1/8" circle punch) McGill
Stencil:  (Mini Well Rounded) The Crafter's Workshop
Embossing Paste:  Wendy Vecchi
