Just popping in quickly with a card for this week's Colour Throwdown challenge and also for the Have a Heart challenge at Simon Says Stamp.  The owl and sentiment are from Unity's January Kit of the Month and the woodgrain is Market Street Stamps.  I added some Glossy Accents to the hearts on the glasses for a little shine.  He really is a cool dude isn't he?  :)

Chair-ished Friendship

Happy Friday!  I'm not celebrating quite yet as I have a long day ahead of me at work.  However, the adorable Miss Kenzie will be there so at least there will be puppy snuggles to help pass the time!  In the meantime here's a card for the Tuesday Trigger challenge at the Moxie Fab World and also for Unity's Friends With Flair hop.  I was inspired by the blue chair in the picture and also by the grid heart.  I decided to go a bit more masculine for my card as I needed one for a male friend. The chair is from Unity's December 2011 KOM and I used A Bit of Burlap on the frame to tie in the grid pattern.  I played around a lot with how to apply the sentiment but in the end a simple strip of card stock underlining it seemed to fit just right.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill, (Cherry Cobbler, Marina Mist) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Chair from Dec '11 KOM - Filled With Love, A Bit of Burlap) Unity Stamp Co, (Sentiment from On My Couch) Papertrey Ink
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Marina Mist) Stampin' Up
Dies:  (Nestabilities Small Labels) Spellbinders

CAS(E) This Sketch #14

Welcome to Week 14 of CAS(E) This Sketch!  Take a look at this week's sketch designed by Jackie Rockwell:

My card grew from the Hero Arts sentiment banner I used.  Heydey Sentiments is one of my new favourite sets - so many fun, funky fonts and designs!  The thought of my happy place initially led me to the Craft Cave which really didn't lend itself to the sketch!  LOL!  So next up was sunshine in paradise and Paper Smooches helped me out with the palm trees and sunshine.  Where does this sketch take your creative mind?  Check out all the gorgeous inspiration by the design team on the CAS(E) This Sketch blog and then get crafting!

XO Love

**This is my second post for today.  For my CAS-ual Fridays/Hero Arts post please scroll down or click here!"

Hello!  I'm popping in with a second post today - Monday and Tuesday were very productive days in the Craft Cave.  I played along with quite a few challenges and got a bunch of special orders done so I'm feeling very virtuous!  :)  This card uses the sketch from RetroSketches and the colours from Dynamic Duos.  I'm continuing my love affair with Stampin' Up's Basic Grey.  It just makes all the other colours pop so beautifully!

Stamps:  (All from Jan 13 KOM - All Hearts & Love) Unity Stamp Co

You & Me

Welcome and say hello to today's Triple Threat Card!!  I haven't played along with CAS-ual Fridays in a while and this week they've asked us to use letters on our cards.  I've had these red, shiny letters for ages and thought they'd make for a fun Valentine card. There was no ampersand in that letter set so I stamped and embossed this Hero Arts one and layered them on top of it.  The hearts in the background are also Hero Arts and since they have a Love category in their monthly challenge this month I thought I'd play along with them!  Then I discovered that the February Gallery Challenge at Paper Crafts Connection also has a love theme going.  Sweet!  I'm in!!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Basic Grey, Basic Black) Stampin' Up

CASology #30

Welcome to Week 30 of CASology!  Here's the cue word for this week:

When I saw this week's cue word I googled Grimm's Fairytales.  I had no idea how many tales there actually are!  I ended up being so overwhelmed by all the titles that I hastily closed that page and decided to simplify.  Princesses are a fairytale staple and I always call my goddaughter Princess.  Her birthday isn't for a few months but it's never to early to make a card is it?  I swear I'm either cutting and gluing like a mad woman at the last minute or I'm ready months in advance.  I really need to find some middle ground!  LOL! Anyway, I'm really excited to see all the entries for this week so check out the DT cards and then get crackin'!

And this week's guest designer:

You Rev Me Up!

As usual I'm being a total Last Minute Lucy and scooting in with hours to spare for the Moxie Fab challenges.  I'm actually entering this card in two Moxie Fab World challenges - the Make A Card With A Window challenge and the Make Your Own Background Paper challenge.

I started off by using the colours from the Play Date Cafe.  I thought they were kind of masculine and the sentiment was inspired by the Zoom Goes My Heart stamp set from The Craft's Meow (designed by the fabulous Karen Baker) which is on my (very long) wish list.  The sentiment (which I created with Lawn Fawn's Claire's ABCs) led me to these cute little Amy Tangerine car and heart stamps.  I chose the Papertrey Ink Fillable Frames die for the window because it made me think of an exhaust cloud which I'm sure you'd have with all these cars around!!  The picture below shows the window a little better.  As usual now that I've finally made one window card they don't seem so scary anymore!  Perhaps I'll try a few more...

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill
Stamps:  (Car & heart from Ready Set Go Amy Tangerine, (Border from Fillable Frames #5) Papertrey Ink, (Sentiment from Claire's ABCs) Lawn Fawn
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Cherry Cobbler, So Saffron, Certainly Celery) Stampin' Up
Die: (Fillable Frames #5) Papertrey Ink
