Seize the Stickers

Hi there!  I'm back today with a couple more cards using ready made embellishments.  These use the sketch from Seize the Sketch and stickers from s.e.i.  The stickers had a couple of gems on them but I added more for a little more bling.  It's a lovely rainy, thundery morning here - a perfect crafting day!

Golden Wishes

I'm posting this before I jet off to work this morning.  It's an entry for the current AEIHeartU challenge to use gold.  I misted some black cardstock with Smooch Spritz Gold Glow.  Sadly that's the last you'll see of it for a while as I promptly dropped the spritzer and it shattered all over my floor.  Doh!  So frustrating!  At least I had already spritzed what I needed.  I stamped and embossed some banners from To The Point and added a sentiment from Handwritten Notes.  Then I hand stitched the banners to the cardstock (still no sewing machine here in the old Craft Cave…) and added some gold gems.  And voila!  Shiny, sparkly good wishes!  Hope you all have a lovely day!

Hello, Friday!  I have another card using a sticker embellishment.  How cute is that sun from s.e.i?  It's so bright and fun that it doesn't need much more than a strip of patterned paper to make it seriously awesome!  I'm going to join in with the Sun challenge over at Addicted to CAS.  And now I have to dash to work.  Hope your day is full of sunshine!

**Edited to add:  Thanks to Lynn for pointing me in the direction of the latest Time Out challenge - Fun in the Sun!

Ombre Birthday

Hi there!  Today I'm playing along with the CAS on Sunday challenge to make a birthday card.  This card came about after I had stamped a sentiment in Island Indigo a few times and liked the way it looked as it faded out.  So I stamped the happy 3 times without reinking and then added die cut birthdays in 3 different shades of orange.  I really like the way it turned out and it could be made in lots of colour combos!  That's it for me - hope your week is going well!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzil, (Peach Parfait, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Happy from Happiness in Bloom) Papertrey Ink
Inks:  (Island Indigo) Stampin' Up
Dies:  (Birthday) Papertrey Ink

Happy Birthday, Darnell!

***This is my second post for the day.  For my Cutting Edge post please scroll down or

Today I am thrilled to take part in the birthday celebrations for Darnell of djkardkreations!  Until you've visited Darnell's blog your crafty life will not be complete.  Darnell is the sweetest, most supportive, funniest blogger out there.  I am in awe of how much time she gives to her fellow bloggers in the form of comments and messages.  She really is an amazing gal!  In honor of Darnell my card today is made up of NBUS and SNALTD (Severely Neglected And Left To Die) products.  The stamps are seeing ink for the first time and the paper had a few little scraps cut from it about 5 years ago but hasn't been touched since!  Darnell, I hope you have a fantastic day and that everyone spoils you rotten!  Big hugs to you!

Supplies Used:
Patterned Paper:  (Raspberry, Pink Lemonade, Green Apple, Blueberry & huckleberry from Lollipop Shoppe collection) Basic Grey

The Cutting Edge

Jackie Rockwell has done it again and come up with another fantastic crafting challenge.  The Cutting Edge celebrates die cuts, die cuts and more die cuts and has a brilliant design team on board!  The first challenge asks us to take inspiration from this gorgeous card of Jackie's.  I was inspired by the yellow/orange and the large die cut.  I used a Lifestyle Crafts butterfly die and a Paper Smooches sentiment die to create this simple but effective silhouette. It's also flat and great for mailing.  This was super quick to put together so since I had all the supplies out I made another similar card.  Easy peasy!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper:  ((Atlantic 6x6) Studio Calico, (The Sweetest Thing: Tangerine) My Mind's Eye

Inks:  (VersaMark) Tsukineko
Embossing Powder:  (Seafoam White) Ranger

CASology #102

Welcome to Week 102 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

Hello again, CASology fans!  We have a fun cue word today that can take you in lots of directions!  I went through lots of ideas before deciding to use some NBUS and breaking out this sweet little paper airplane that's floating along full of love.  I used airmail washi tape to add some interest and focus your eye into the centre of the card.  I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with but first take a look at the awesome interpretations by the Design Team.
