Rainbow of Smiles

Hello, all!  I have another entry here for the Paper Smooches Sparks design team call.  I went very literal with this one as I love the vertical rainbow and the little heart in the inspiration picture.  I paper pieced the I's and the heart and popped it on an Island Indigo background.  I'm really digging that colour right now - it's an awesome blue!

We had another gorgeous day here of walking, swimming and playing ball with the hounds.  Atticus almost got ahold of another chicken this morning and was really not best pleased that we thwarted his efforts.  The government is actually trying to cull the feral chicken population at the moment and I'm sure Atti would love to volunteer to help!!

Cardstock:  Cardstock:  (White) Pacon, (Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Heart from Falling for You, Sentiment from Giddy Bugs) Paper Smooches
Inks: (VersaFine Onyx Black)Tsukineko
Punch:  (Corner punch) Marvy Uchida

I'm now picturing Atticus as an official government chicken-culler. :D
This card is seriously fun! I really like the colourful, paper-pieced i's -- probably more work than colouring them in, but looks really good!

Downright trendy and chic! Love the rainbow too. I kind of wish out dog would be able to chase chickens, he's got something wrong with his leg-pulled a ligament we think, but is just too old for surgery. Makes me sad.

polly has volunteered to come and look after the chickens! starting to worry about where in the world (literally) your package is :o( even steve checked the address, so surely its not coming back again!
as for the card, it has all that white space so it was always going to be a favourite of mine .. adore the clean crispness of it. have a great day xx

I'm picturing him with a badge & everything...although I guess he'd need a bath every time he was successful...I think Abby would probably keel in fright if she actually managed to catch one of the crows or pheasants that seem to stalk her :)
I love the sweet heart & the vertical Smiles! I made another PS card for this SPARKS challenge too - you know how much I love my rainbows :)

Cute - I love the vertical element and all that glorious white space, Jen! That adorable heart is just too cute to boot as well! I chuckled at Atticus and his chicken hunting skills too. LOL Lexi hunts birds, robins in particular and is always annoyed that they fly off when they hear her coming from 20 feet away. LOL She'd never get one anyway since she's so loud and I'd never let her.

Hope you have a happy Monday and best wishes on the DT call, hope you get it!!

Chickens running around in the open? Now that's interesting!
