Die-cut Flashback

Yikes!  Almost missed out on entering the latest Flashback Friday Challenge - first project using a die cut.  This card is from December 2010 and the original post can be found here. I remember that when I finished and looked at it I wished I'd embossed the card base - looks a bit plain - but I wasn't going to pull it apart and start again.  I also (according to my post) had some trouble figuring out how to open my first Stampin' Up ink pad!  LOL!  My blondness really gets the best of me some days...

I would have given you no end of grief if you'd forgotten completely ;) Love the music background & the sentiment- and you know how much I {heart} my lacy circles!

Very nice card. I can see how your style has evolved over time. I agree that the SU pads are difficult to figure out. I have spent way too much time trying to reattach the tops, and I'm not blonde either. I've now switched to PTI inks.

LOL, that story about the ink pads made me laugh. One time, I flipped it too far and it came right off. Now THAT was next to impossible to get back on! :P The music notes work wonderfully with the sentiment on this card.

That is a lovely die cut, Jen, and I had a hard time navigating the ink pads as well, but it is fun to remember! Thanks for sharing your card, glad you made it in time for Flashback Friday 22.0

SU pads are seriously annoying, regardless of hair colour! Fun card, Jen -- a great colour combo and not too plain at all!

I still have a hard time with the SU inkpads (yes, I am blonde). LOL! That's funny that you wanted to have more in the background--look at how spectacularly CAS your designs are now!
