Big City Congrats

I wanted to play along with the colour challenge over at the Paper Players but I think I've put myself out of the running because I added a speck of yellow onto the card.  :)  I wanted the card to have it's moment in the sun anyway though so here it is.  I was thinking of congrats on a promotion or a new apartment for this card which is why I popped the yellow in that top window.  Have a lovely evening!

Dynamic Hello

I have another dual challenge card tonight.  I used the sketch from the Lawnscaping challenge and the colours from Dynamic Duos to create this CAS card. This is probably my favourite phone stamp - it's cute and kind of sassy I think.  :) On the green strip I used the curly lines from Lawn Fawn's Belinda's Borders because they reminded me of the phone cord.  Off to bed now as it's my long day at work tomorrow.  Sweet dreams!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill, (Cajun Craze & Always Artichoke) Stampin' Up

Stamps:  (Phone & sentiment from Just My Type, Border from Belinda's Borders) Lawn Fawn

Line Art Card

Hello there!  Popping in to play along with a few challenges today.  Just Us Girls are asking us to use the line art image technique where you stamp your image and don't colour it in.  I chose this sun from Market Street Stamps because I think there's enough detail in the stamp that it can stand alone without being coloured.  I used the sketch from RetroSketches for the layout and kept the colours simple.  I recently got the Die-namics Chevron Stripes dies and thought they were perfect for this as they mimicked the pointy rays of the sun.  Because the chevrons are still considered trendy I'm also going to enter this card in the Young Crafters Unite Hot Trends challenge and the Simon Says Stamp We're So Trendy challenge.  Off to work now.  Have a lovely day!

CASology #10

I can't believe we're already at Week 10 of CASology!  I'm having so much fun with this Design Team - I'm thrilled to be a part of such a talented group of ladies.  And, of course, I'm loving seeing all your entries.  It's so fun to see how differently everyone interprets the cue words.  And speaking of cue words, here's the one for this week:

Initially I thought I was going to use a hot air balloon but then I stumbled upon these unloved Lil' Inker dies and thought they'd be perfect for the challenge.  The PTI Mat Stack dies are some of my favorites and they remind me of fancy windows which seemed appropriate.  Since the sentiment mentions sunshine but I don't have a sun image I used yellow cardstock for the banner to represent it.

Be sure to check out the rest of the design team for some fabulous inspiration!

Also this week's guest designer:

Link your creations up to the CASology blog and remember that submissions are due by Sunday, 16 September at noon CST.

Brave Girl Boots

I'm using more old but new to me Unity stamps today. Yes, I confess, I got sucked into the Unity sale at Simon Says Stamp the other week and did a wee bit of shopping...  How's a girl supposed to resist a sale like that???

Anyway, I'm playing along with the colors at the Play Date Cafe and the Stamptember challenge at Simon Says Stamp.  I love those sassy boots and I think they look fabulous in that peach colour.  I used PTI's Linen & Canvas impression plate on the card base for some texture and thought it made it kind of denimish so I added some eyelets to go along with the cowgirl/denim theme.

Dream...

Arielle of the ColourQ challenge has extended the deadline for submissions yet I'm still barely squeaking in at the last minute.  *Sigh*  I will get organized one of these days...  I used an old (but new to me) Unity stamp - one that has been on my wish list for a while.  I love the simple line drawing and sentiment.  There are 4 different ones in the set and I know they're all going to get their fair share of love.  :)  I'm also entering this in the Stamptember challenge at Simon Says Stamp.

Telephone Greetings

We're in the midst of being battered by Tropical Storm Leslie at the moment.  Thankfully it was downgraded from a Category 2 storm to a TS and is passing by to our east so not a direct hit.  We have gales and rain at the moment and so far (knock on wood) the power has stayed on so I'd better type quickly and get this posted just in case!

I'm playing along with a few challenges with this card. I was initially inspired by the Paper Smooches Sparks Retro Fab challenge.  I knew I wanted to emboss the phones in white on colored blocks I so am playing along with CAS-ual Fridays Embossing Challenge and the Moxie Fab Repeptitiona Challenge.   I'm also joining the Simon Says Stamp Stamptember challenge to use stamps.
