Striped Sky

I'm playing along with the challenge at Your Next Stamp to use stripes.  I used the EBE Skinny Stripes die to create my sky which I love because it adds some fun texture to the card.  I coloured and popped up this cutie pie YNS kitty on foam tape to float along on top of it and added a PTI cloud for some balance.  The sentiment is from Avery Elle.

Hoping you're all doing well in lockdown.  As of Saturday Bermuda will slowly start easing restrictions.  There will still be an overnight curfew but all retail stores and restaurants will now be able to open for curbside and delivery services.  Yay!  Even more exciting we can now exercise further from home!  Up until now we were only allowed outside for exercise within a half mile of our homes.  Chica will be so excited to have some new walking routes and LOTS of new sniffs.

While the lockdown and restrictions have been stressful for everyone I'm grateful for the course our government has taken with navigating this pandemic.  Saturday is the start of a 4 phase reopening plan with no current time limit on any phase - it will depend on how things progress as there is more interaction.  Our Premier has been calm, measured and informed throughout the whole process.  No one knows exactly what the future holds but I appreciate feeling like we have a strong and level-headed leader.

Oh my! Your striped sky is so super fun and makes the perfect backdrop for that adorable kitty floating with its balloon :) Glad to hear you are safe and healthy. I hope things continue to stay stable as businesses start to slowly reopen. And enjoy your walks!!! We've had to stick closer to home as well for our adventures and we really miss romping around on the mountain trails in other parts of the state. Can't wait for that phase to happen here!

You have such an eye for colour Jen! I love the red of the balloon against the turquoise stripes and how cute is that goofy little cat?!
Sounds like you're looking forward to a bit more freedom - and Chica will certainly appreciate it! Nothing like new sniffs!
Take care, Vicky x

What a cute and clever kitty, he looks great in that striped sky! I hear you on the easing of restrictions, though ours haven't been as difficult as yours we are happy that as of today we can have 2 visitors to our houses now.... and then see how it goes, and yes to the strong governments we are feeling very lucky that ours took such a strong initial stand. And if it hadn't been for a cruise ship being allowed to offload 2500 peeps in the middle of the night our numbers may have been a lot lower... but who really knows I suppose.

That kitty looks scared to death of being taken away by the balloon, Jen. ;) I love your creative sky. I don't mind staying home and my husband can still walk and bike because he doesn't come in contact within 6 feet of anyone. Our lockdown of non-essential businesses has been extended to May 28 while a few others are opening slowly.
