Dare To Be Different

I haven't played along with a Lawnscaping challenge since back in May so I thought it was high time I jumped back in and played along.  This week's challenge is to create a one layer card.  Easy right?  Not so much...  I really had to focus on not cutting things out or matting anything! Luckily I recently got some Gina K Pure Luxury cardstock so I could colour with my Copics without it bleeding through to the inside of the card.  Sweet!  I also stumbled across the Young Crafters Unite blog and they're hosting their first challenge which is to colour a stamped image.  Ding ding ding!  Score 2 for Jen!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock: (Pure Luxury White) Gina K.
Stamps: (Butterfly from Critters in the 'Burbs, Letters from Smitty's ABCs) Lawn Fawn
Ink: (Memento Tuxedo Black) Tsukineko
Gems:  Basic Grey
Copics: B00, Y00, E71, RV29, V17, Y38

Super design, I adore the concept. And nix my last comment about the hurricane, obviously someone didn't pay attention in geography (ahem, me.)

Awww, cuuute card! Did it take you a long time to color everything? I have still not dipped my toe in the Copic pool. Like I need another thing to be addicted to. :)

Wonderful card Jen, the score lines really make the sentiment a focal point. Great design too :)

I really love how you have embossed above and below the sentiment, it really seperates it from those wonderful butterflies! FaB card Jen!

Very sweet Jen, love the bold butterfly and sentiment :)
It's great to combine these challenges... as long as you check the closing dates first, unlike me!

Love this card, especially all the coloured butterflies and the bling for the dot on the "i". And yes, one layer cards are way harder than they should be, but yours is perfect!

I understand how hard one-layer cards are. I have the worst time with them! I love how you used your copics here to add emphasis to the main butterfly. Thank you for playing along with us at the first Young Crafters Unite challenge (and Lawnscaping as well!).
