Sassy Kitty & Striped Flowers

Hi there!  I hope everyone got some time to get crafty yesterday for World Cardmaking Day. I was able to make cards for a few challenges.  First up is for the Holiday challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More using the design from Freshly Made Sketches.  This sassy Christmas kitty from Avery Elle is so adorable and I paired her with a sentiment from AE's Retro Ornaments.  I love the font on it and I thought it suited her.  The background is from an ancient sheet of 12x12 paper and I have no idea where the ribbon came from (or when the last time I used ribbon even was!).

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink
Patterned Paper:  (Twinkly Twinkle 12x12) Momenta
Stamps:  (Cat from Dear Santa, Sentiment from Retro ornaments) Avery Elle
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Markers:  (R27, R59, RV10, C1, C3) Copic
Glitter:  (Star Dust Stickles) Ranger
Gems:  Recollections

Next up is my take on Aileen's gorgeous masked and coloured card over at Muse.  As you can see I stuck pretty close to her design but I paper pieced my Altenew flowers and leaves and popped them up on foam tape.  I used the colours from The Colour Throwdown and I used corresponding Stampin' Up markers to colour the stripes on the flowers.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Gumboil Green, Pacific Point) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Flowers from Striped Florals, Hello from Halftone Hello) Altenew
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Markers:  (Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Gumboil Green, Pacific Point) Stampin' Up
Gems:  Recollections

Holy Ship!

Hi there!  I'm just popping in with a card for the sketch challenge at Just Add Ink.  I paper pieced this Essentials by Ellen ship and popped it up over the tags.  Behind that I used the Avery Elle pierced circles dies which you can see if you look closely.  This feels like the perfect card for this week because it's been sunny and breezy, the humidity has finally gone down and the water looks glorious!

Have a wonderful day!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Bashful Blue, Soft Suede) Stampin' Up

CASology #217

Welcome to Week 217 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

This week our sponsor, Kitty Bee Designs, provided us with some of their cute images to use for our cards.  I love this panda image - he has such a sweet little face!  In fact I love him so much that I made two cards this week.  For the above card I laid a few coordinating strips of washi tape across the bottom of the card and popped the panda up on foam tape. To me it looks like he's waving so I thought this sentiment from Neat and Tangled would work perfectly with him.  For the card below I used Avery Elle's Pierced Circles to add some interest to the card base and also to ground the image.  The sentiment is double stacked and covered with Glossy Accents.

Be sure to check out Kitty Bee Designs.  They have lots of adorable images - I especially love the cows!

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design and then play along!

Palm Silhouette

Hi there!  I just have one card for today but it's for a few different challenges.  I love the palms silhouetted against the sunset in the photo at The Color Throwdown so I broke out my Memory Box palm die to use with their colours.  I also took inspiration from the photo over at Time Out - I kept the bright colours to one part of my card like the colors there are just in the window.  AAA Cards is looking for CAS masking and it's Make Your Mark week at Addicted to Stamps and More.  I inked my panel with Distress Inks and added a sentiment from CASual Fridays.  A thinking of you sentiment just seems suited to a lonely palm.

Flowers & Candles

***This is my second post for the day.  For my Papertrey Ink Blog Hope post please scroll down or click here.***

Hello there!  Another weekend has quickly come to a close but at least I got some crafty time.  We had a little brush with Tropical Storm Karl early on Saturday morning but thankfully it turned out to be nothing more than a really windy day.

I've got two cards to share this evening.  First up is an entry for the current Muse challenge. Jenni's card is gorgeous and bright - a perfect cheery birthday card.  I was inspired by the blues (although I went more blue/green) and used the same Altenew flowers that Jenni used.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Island Indigo) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  Watercolor Wonder, Many Thanks) Altenew
Inks:  (Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Island Indigo, Smokey Slate) Stampin' Up
Dies:  (Stitched Circles) Lil' Inker Designs
Glitter:  (Clear Wink of Stells) Zig
Gems:  Recollections

This card is for two challenges.  I used the design from Freshly Made Sketches and the Celebration theme from Where Creativity Meets C9.  This was pretty quick to put together.  I stamped the Concord & 9th candles three times and than rainbow coloured them with Copics.  Nothing says Celebration quite like a rainbow!

Thanks it for today.  Have a lovely evening!

CASology #216

Welcome to Week 216 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

This week's cue word gave me the perfect excuse to pull out a Paper Smooches frame die that hasn't seen much love.  I wanted some bright and cheerful colours to make my sentiment pop and by framing this busy piece of patterned paper and layering it on a white card stock, it keeps the overall design CAS.

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design and then play along!
