Birthday Unicorn

Hi there!

I hope everyone has been enjoying the festive season.  Luis and I had a very quiet Christmas which was lovely and I've been happy to have a bit of free time for crafting.

I've even made cards for a couple of challenges like this one for the MFT Sketch challenge and the Just Us Girls Anything Goes challenge.  I love these MFT unicorns. They're super cute with just that little bit of chub that makes them extra adorable.  :)

CASology #358

Welcome to Week 358 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

My Favourite Things has some really fun sassy sentiment sets and this Katzelkraft kitty seemed made for this particular sentiment.  Clearly he's that friend who promises plenty of hijinks and no chance of a dull moment whenever you get together!

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

CASology #357

Welcome to Week 357 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

This Neat and Tangled bear is such a cutie pie!  The gingerbread man is pretty cute too although he looks very cheerful for someone who's about to be eaten!  The bear actually comes with several things to hold so I made a second card with him clutching and armload of goodies.  I keep changing my mind about which one I like best.  Which do you like?

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

Turquoise Anniversary Butterfly

Hello!

Today I've got got a card for the Just Us Girls Shades of Teal challenge.  I made quite a few cards with different PTI butterflies yesterday all using different Altenew inks.  For this one I took a cool Avery Elle circle die and used it to create a pierced background to help the butterfly pop a bit more.  I had forgotten all about it and found it recently while I was digging around for another die.  I love when that happens - its like Christmas!

Supplies Used:

Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Bermuda Bay) Stampin' Up

Stamps:  (All from Beautiful Butterflies and Beautiful Butterfly Layers) Papertrey Ink

Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Mountain Mist, Volcano Lake, Lagoon) Altenew

Dies:  (Butterfly) Papertrey Ink, (Pierced circles die) Avery Elle

Glitter:  (Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss) Tonic

CASology #356

Welcome to Week 356 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

This large MFT sentiment was the first thing that came to mind when I sat down to make this card.  I wasn't sure what to pair with it initially but I think butterflies have the perfect calming and delicate feel needed for this kind of encouragement card.

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

Jolly Kitty

Hello!

I got some more crafty time today and have a card for Freshly Made Sketches.  I think this Fancy Pants patterned paper is my favourite Christmas paper of all time.  I simultaneously love and hate to use it because I don't want it to run out.  However I thought it would be perfect for this sketch so I cut into it.  I popped a Santa hat on this MFT kitty and set him up peeking over a Taylored Expressions sentiment.  (Have you guys tried their Simple Strips sentiment sets?  They're awesome!!!).  Funky trees and a cute kitty - what more could you want from a Christmas card?

Supplies Used:

Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Basic Black) Stampin' Up

Patterned Paper:  (Happy Holidays 8x8) Fancy Pants

Stamps:  (Cat from Cool Cat, Hat from Beast Friends) My Favourite Things, (Sentiment from Simple Strips Christmas) Taylored Expressions

Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black, Memento Tuxedo Black) Tsukineko

Markers:  Copic

Other:  (Nuvo Red Berry Crystal Drops) Tonic
