Today's first card is for two Hero Arts related challenges: A Blog Named Hero has asked us to Make the Sentiment the Star and a2z Scrapbooking wants a CAS card using Hero Arts products. I wanted to play with my embossing paste so I mixed my paste with some yellow ink and used a Stampin' Up star stencil to create the background. The background was just perfect for this sweet sentiment and with it's different fonts and little stars it has enough personality to carry the card. I embossed it onto blue cardstock to mimic the night sky and added a few yellow gems. Super simple!
Supplies Used:
Cardstock: (White) Bazzill, (Night of Navy) Stampin' Up
Stamps: (Sentiment from CL582) Hero Arts
Inks: (VersaMark) Tsukineko
Embossing Powder: (Seafoam White) Ranger
Die: (Stitched Rectangles) Lil' Inker Designs
Stencil: Stampin' Up

This second card is for The Friday Mashup and I'm using both parts of the challenge - a project with food or drink on it and it's coloured with markers. I stamped, coloured and cut out these adorable drinks and sunglasses from Paper Smooches and pieced them onto the card base - some flat and some with dimensional adhesive. The washi tape is a new Duck Washi that I got while I was on vacation and I thought the ocean vibe of it went perfectly with the tropical drinks. That's it for now - it's time to head off for my first day back at work but I'll be back tomorrow. Have a wonderful day! Supplies Used:
Cardstock: (White) Papertrey Ink
Stamps: (All from Get Outta Town) Paper Smooches
Inks: (VersaMark) Tsukineko
