Seize the Birthday Guest Designer Part 2

I'm back for my second challenge as Surprise Party Guest at Seize the Birthday!

As usual you can make any kind of birthday card and join the Anything Goes portion of the challenge or you can play along with our Topping which this week is Non-neutral Card Base.

I'm normally a white card base kinda gal so this was a fun challenge for me.  I started with some MFT patterned papers on the base and then added fun colorful elements on top including Paper Smooches' Bam Bubble and a cupcake and sentiment from Neat & Tangled.  I used some Stickles to decorate the cupcake and some Nuvo crystal drops to accent the sentiment and eyes of the cupcake.

I hope you'll join in the fun!  You have until 9am (PST) on Tuesday, 28 July to play along.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Pink Pirouette, Daffodil Delight, Soft Sky, Crumb Cake) Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper:  (Sweet Sunshine 6x6) My Favourite Things
Stamps:  (All from Sketchy Cupcakes) Neat & Tangled
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Die:  (Bam Bubbles) Paper Smooches
Glitter:  (Cotton Candy Stickles) Ranger
Other:  (Nuvo Dandelion Yellow & Ebony Black Crystal Drops) Tonic

This is fun! Just think, if you weren't partying with us, you could enter all kinds of cards and use up more of your coloured cardstock! :D

What a fun way to use a non neutral cardbase! I like that the polkadots in the background go with the sprinkles on the frosting :)! The cupcake is so cute!

Ah! Pattern paper could be such a nice base if it covers the whole card too - I've seen plenty of cards with pattern paper, but not so many covering the entire card. I actually thought you had purple card base and then stamped/heat embossed those polka dots! I love how fun the card looks with the pp and the cute cup cake too! Adorable card! Thanks for another wonderful inspiration, Jen!
