Party Penguin

It's super humid and gross here today so I've given up on the craft room as it's too hot in there.  Before I bailed out I did get this card made for the My Favorite Things sketch challenge and the Simon Says Wednesday Summer Fun challenge.  I thought the penguin with his ice cream bar and flowered swim trunks looked ready for a summer party.  I paper pieced everything with old vintage My Mind's Eye papers and popped him up on some foam tape for dimension.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper:  (The Sweetest Thing Tangerine 6x6) My Mind's Eye
Stamps:  (Penguin & sentiment from Penguins in Paradise, Hat & balloons from Happy Hippos) My Favourite Things
Inks:  (VersaMark, VersaFine Onyx Black, Memento Tuxedo Black) Tsukineko
Embossing Powder:  (Opaque Bright White Super Fine) Wow
Dies:  (Zig Zag Stitched Oval) My Favourite Things
Markers:  (Y38, E31, E37, C7) Copic
Other:  (Nuvo Oyster Grey Crystal Drops) Tonic

It's hard to believe you are in the middle of Summer and here we are in Winter... I was excited that the shortest day has now passed Yay, bring on Summer lol. ps loving that sweet little Penguin (he'll need to eat that ice cream real quick)

Love the paper piecing Jen and had a chuckle at your 'vintage' papers ;) Think that sentiment might have been wishful thinking on your part! Vicky x
