Birthday Duo

I've got 2 cards to share with you today and both took some inspiration from Joyce's first card in this post.   This card is for the current Colour Throwdown challenge.  I used an NBUS Winnie & Walter flower die with some old My Mind's Eye papers.  Joyce's card reminded me of these Papertrey Ink panel dies so I dug them out and dusted them off.  Thanks, Joyce!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Textured White) Bazzill, (More Mustard, Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper:  (Yellow polka dots from Moments 6x6, Blue, grey stripes from Lost & Found 3) My Mind's Eye
Stamps:  (Sentiment from Birthday Greetings) Altenew
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Dies:  (Flower & leaves from In Bloom: Maggie's Roses) Winnie & Walter, (Panels) Papertrey Ink
Glitter:  (Clear Wink of Stella) Zig
Gems:  Recollections

Next is a card for Freshly Made Sketches.  Just like Joyce I used Copics to create an ombre panel for my design.  I love the look and it matches the cake perfectly.  The cake and sentiment are from Concord & 9th and I went a bit crazy with the pink gems.

Thanks for being my muse this weekend, Joyce!  :)

Jen, these are so much fun! I LOVE the polka dot rose set against those tilted panels, and your tiered ombre cake card screams fun!! This is one occasion where I would strongly advocate going crazy with the gems! Totally love them!! 😉

I love my "tipped tops" dies and the way you've layered them is wonderful, Jen. I'm always playing with my practice pieces to find a better way to layer them. The flower is gorgeous on the black and white. I love the colors on your cake card.

So very honored, Jen. Thanks so much for letting me know that I inspired you. These cards are both so wonderful, and it touches my heart to think that I insired you. I'm glad you sent me a note about it, because I am so far behind on my visits, it might have been a very long time before I found this post on my own. You really made my day when I saw your message. Stay crafty, my friend.
