CASology #183

Welcome to Week 183 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

I took inspiration from the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch to work out my card this week.  I went for a very literal interpretation and used one of my favourite Lil' Inker dies to cut a nice glittery sun.  To add some interest to the clouds I made them darker where they overlap and I popped up the sun for some dimension.  This week's word leaves a lot of room for interpretation so I'm excited to see what you all come up with.  Be sure to check out the gorgeousness from the design team gals and than play along!

And this week's guest designer:

Link your creations to the CASology blog and remember that the deadline for entries is Monday at noon (CST).

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill, (Smokey Slate, Basic Grey) Stamping' Up, (Yellow glitter) DCWV
Stamps:  (Sentiment from Sending Sunshine) Wplus9
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko,
Dies:  (Stitched sun) Lil' Inker Designs, (Cloud border die) WPlus9

Love! A very literal take on the sketch, but so effective with those two shades of grey!

Oh, just love your glittery sun--it adds the cheer I need when I see grey storm clouds.

The shaded grey clouds look so good behind that glittery sun. Love this card! (And yay, I get to play along with you guys next week!)

You definitely brought the sunshine in on this card by keeping the glitter confined. Such cool clouds too! Love this Jen.

I love how you two-toned those clouds!!! Awesome effect. That glittery sun is ideal also! Our sun is a little too glittery at the moment. Another 5 day heatwave of 40+ degrees Celsius on the way... Cabin fever bound to set in. Feb in Perth! Blah!!

Nothing wrong with literal when the outcome is this fabulous! Love the glittery sun and two-tone clouds; perfect for your sentiment! Yet again, your ingenuity is front row, center!
