I've been pondering The Card Concept's umbrella challenge since it was first posted and finally came up with an idea for it with a little help from the Colour Me…! colours. Originally I had a solid umbrella paper pieced with shades of blue but I kept looking at the negatives of the umbrella die cuts and thinking there had to be a way to use them. After some delicate cutting and some playing around I came up with this! Kind of funky and fun. And as for category - somewhere between CAS and CAG I think!
Cardstock: (Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point) Stampin' Up
Stamps: (Sentiment from Die-Namics Umbrella & Stamp Set) My Favourite Things
Inks: (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Dies: (Die-Namics Umbrella & Stamp Set) My Favourite Things
Love the use of the negative - keeps the card feeling airy and clean! So glad you joined us at Card Concept!
Really awesome card, love the design and color palette!
That sentiment is just so perfect for this week :) Love the wee umbrellas, too cute!!! Thank you so much for sharing with us this week at Colour Me...! We sure hope to have you back again soon :)
Those umbrellas are fabulous! And Hayley's right, the sentiment totally fits this week's colour scheme. Thanks so much for joining in the fun at Colour Me…!

What a fun way to use the umbrellas and love the little bling at the end of the sentiment! Nice take on the challenge.
Using the negative shape works so well. A wonderful design. Thank you for joining us at The Card Concept.
Awww! Such a sweet pick-me-up card, Jen! Love it :)
Definitely funky and fun! You've made me realize... I don't think I have an umbrella stamp/die/paper. That must be wrong. ;) The colours are perfect for this great design.
Very cool way to use those die cuts. I like how they look overlaps.
This is so fun!! Love these umbrellas
