Bright Birthday

Hello hello!

I've got a wild and bright birthday card to share today.  Everything here (except for the speech bubble) are Reverse Confetti products.  I love the little smiles on the giraffes' faces - they're pretty darn adorable!  I used the stripes to guide my colour palette and just went for it with the colours.

The humidity is really kicking in here so I guess it's time to accept that summer is coming and summer means swimming!  Plenty of people swim all year round here but generally I don't set foot in the water before July.  I broke that rule this year and went in last month but still... summer is about getting in the water, preferably with a mask and snorkel so I can keep an eye on what's in there with me!

I have a card to share for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I dug out some old 12x12 K&Co paper and used it to create the banners and also to stamp the leaves.  I had fun with it and ended up making three cards with varying colours.

Hello there!

I'm here with a card for 3 challenges - The Card Concept (with a clean and layered design), CAS Colours & Sketches and CAS(E) This Sketch.  As soon as I saw the Card Concept photo I knew I'd be digging out this adorable boot die from Paper Smooches.  The colours were fun but they looked a little plain so I added some Lil' Inker Designs stitched flowers to them and used Nuvo Drops in the centre of each for a little shine.

I love it when I find a sentiment that is the perfect fit for an image from another company.  This My Favourite Things sentiment was made for these Paper Smooches elephants and the SugarPea Mother die cut was the icing on the cake for a card at this time of year since Mother's Day is on Sunday!

Birthday Cupcake

Hi there!

I'm popping in with a last minute card for Seize the Birthday where I'm playing along with the toppings challenge - texture.  I mixed some pink ink into white texture paste and then used it with a Hero Arts stencil to create the background.  The Altenew cupcake and sentiment are popped up on foam tape for a bit of dimension. 

I'm also going to join in with the Simon Says Wednesday challenge where the theme is Happy Birthday.

Congrats on Your Adventure

Hello!

Its been another busy week without much crafty time but I managed to make a few cards today.  First up is for the Lawn Fawnatics sketch challenge and the Inkspirational Adventure challenge.  I dithered about the sentiment for ages but finally went with congrats as the hot air balloon signifies movement and covers a lot of bases  - congrats on your move, your new job, your graduation, etc. - and all of those things could be considered adventures of sorts.
