Colour Issues!

I'm taking part in an Art in the Park event in a couple of weeks as well as trying to finish up an order for a lady who wants two sets of 36 cards (all different!) for her daughters for Christmas.  So, not much time spent on challenges today but I did manage to complete an entry for the Play Date Cafe. My orange is a lot darker than the orange on the colour picture but I'm going to blame that on my printer.  I think I've mentioned that my computer is at the other end of the house from the Craft Cave.  So, for challenges, I print out the colours or sketches or what have you and take them with me to work from.  My printed copy of this week's colours showed a rust colour - hence my use of Cajun Craze on my card.  I should have learned my lesson after last week's PDC debacle.  I printed my colour picture and made a card that I was really pleased with and excited to enter.  I gleefully wrote my post and added my pictures and then added the PDC colours.  That's when I realised I had a problem.  Last week's grey, pink and yellow came out from my printer as grey, pink and green!  Doh!!!  It wasn't until I was writing the post that I realised the error.  In future I really have got to remember to double check what my printer spits out!
And, Katie, if you're reading this, please send me your e-mail address as I have been unable to respond to your comment!

Don't you hate that! The colors don't show well on the screen of my computer...drives me crazy!

But...this card is so CAS and perfect!

Wow, you have your work cut out for you (well, not really!) in order to complete those sets for Christmas! Yikes!

Great 'miss you' card, and perfect little splash of orange, Jen. Thanks for joining us at The Play Date CAfe this week.

Sounds familiar Jen...although our printer does print true even if the monitor is rubbish.
I think it's fine...rust is an orange! I love the lone tree and poignant sentiment to match :)

Congrats on winning the new PS stamps :)

Oh I hate it when the colors come out all wrong! But at least this mistake is in the same color family. :) Fabulous card, too, I love that sad little tree.

Holy cow, that's quite an order! I guess your creative muscle will get a serious workout since your customer wants all unique cards. Will you be sharing some of the cards that you come up with? That'd be cool to see :)

Oh, that's going to be a lot of cards... but a lot of blog fodder, too! As to this card, such a perfect image for the sentiment. And congrats on your win over at Paper Smooches -- lucky you!

My colors never look right on my screen! It drives me nuts!!! This is a perfect CAS card and awesome splash of color!

Good luck on those cards! I had an order like that a few years ago, but wanted all thank you notes and all different. The other order was for all kids birthday cards!

This is awesome! I love the shadowy effect the dark colored hills give to it :) Congrats on your custom order! It's a lot of work, but it does feel so good to get paid! Haha, on the printer, have been having those same issues lately, stupid technology! Have a great day, Jen! Hugs!

Dying to do some challenges ... but haven't picked up a stamp in nearly 2 weeks. So much to catch up on after computer probs! I giggled at your 'wrong colour' story! Imagine my trouble ... when I print on a black and white printer. But ... I guess that does make me check the colours more carefully! What a funky card, Jen! Hugs xx

I adore this sweet card. And wow, that is a huge order for cards, PLUS a craft event. You rock!

I have the same issue with my computer screen reading colors. And then if I print it, omg, who knows what comes out. Ha.

PS: hope you got your order of 36 cards done...how great is that?
