Teacups & Cupcakes

I've got two more cards to share from yesterday's time in the Craft Cave.  Oh and speaking of the CC I forgot to mention this.  The air conditioning unit for the Cave wouldn't work on Wednesday after having been perfectly fine on Tuesday.  We finally got someone down to look at it yesterday and discovered that a lizard had gotten inside it and electrocuted himself which shorted out the unit.  Poor guy was totally fried!  Not sure what possessed him to go in there as he's lived around that corner of the house for years.  I'll miss seeing him hanging out on the wall doing his push ups.  :(

Anyway, back to the cards.  The first one was inspired by the photo at The Card Concept and I'd say it's a Clean and Layered design.  Lots of different companies on show here - Paper Smooches tea cup, Lil' Inkers flower, Fresh Squeezed Stamps sentiment and My Favourite Things patterned paper.  Love when they all play so nicely together!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Coastal Cabana) Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper:  (Calm & Cozy Chevron 6x6) My Favourite Things
Stamps:  (Teacup from Cyber Cafe) Paper Smooches, (Sentiment from You Said It Sister) Fresh Squeezed Stamps
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Soft Granite) Hero Arts
Die:  (Stitched Arch STAX) My Favourite Things, (Stitched Flower) Lil' Inker Designs
Gems:  Recollections

My second card was inspired by the design at Freshly Made Sketches.  Some Crate Paper papers, My Favourite Things dies and Mama Elephant cupcake and sentiment came together for this one.  Yay for more happy colours and patterns!
That's it for now. Have a lovely day!

I'm not sure how I would have handled the whole lizard situation! Awesome cards, love the use of patterned paper.

We have the same problem with Gecko's here, for some reason they like to get inside the AC units.... and die. ps Love your cards, more wonderful design paper, I'm impressed Jen!

You were really rocking and rolling in the Cave, Jen! These are all sensational and winners in my book! I'm so sad to hear about your little friend being fried. I forgot to tell you a couple of weeks ago when I did a photo bit about ours. It's the May 16 post "SCUBA Birthday Dude" if you want to check it out! I know we share our love of the ugly little darlings!! Hugs, Darnell

That cupcake paper is perfect behind the cupcake die cut, Jen. So cute and colorful. I love your little tea cup with it's rising steam.
