Stand Out

Hi there!

Today I have a card for the Inspired by Words challenge at Time Out.  I took my inspiration from the word "rainbow" and created a rainbow of clouds for my unicorn (with her rainbow mane and tail) to perch on.  I love the sentiment - it makes for a great encouragement card.  I also like the sassy turn of her head.  She reminds me of Chica who often does the same!

Ham It Up

Hello hello!

I'm popping in today with a card for the Paper Players Down on the Farm challenge.  This little MFT piggy is so darn adorable and perfect for the challenge.  I steered away from my usual white card base here and had fun with some old My Mind's Eye papers and an ancient scallop border die from PTI.  I really must do that more often...

Colour Throwdown #559

Hi there!

I'm excited today to be playing along as the Guest Star Stamper at The Colour Throwdown! The colours are interpreted as navy, mustard/gold, coral/peach and cream.  I took my inspiration from the bouquet and pulled out Altenew's Simple Flowers to play with.  I created a background pattern and then added some Nuvo drops to the flower centers for a bit of dimension.  The sentiment is an oldie but goodie from Avery Elle.

I hope you'll check out the gorgeous creations from the Design Team and then play along.  You have until Monday, 9 September at 6pm Eastern.

CASology #351

Welcome to Week 351 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

This Katzelkraft ostrich always makes me giggle so I knew I had to use him for this week's cue word.  I decided he'd make the perfect dapper dude with a bit of a saucy side to him.  :D The Tim Holtz hat fit him beautifully and I always feel a sense of accomplishment whenever I use a bit of ribbon - no matter how tiny!

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

Link your creations to the CASology blog by Monday, 16 September (CDT).

Crabulous Birthday

Hello hello!

Today's card is one I made for a friend and I'm entering it in the Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes challenge.  My friend and her hubby are pun fans like me.  In fact, her hubby has been known to open a card addressed to her when he knows its from me!  Cheeky man...
Anyway this card uses MFT stamps, Paper Smooches waves and Mama Elephant letters - I love it when all my supplies play together so nicely!

Brusho Butterflies

Hi there!

Today I've got a card for the Addicted to Stamps and More Anything Goes challenge.  Ages ago I was playing with my Brushos and have had some scraps left sitting on my table ever since.  I decided to make use of them and stamped these gorgeous Paper Smooches butterflies onto them.  After I laid them out on my card I thought they needed a little something more to make them pop.  After perusing my stamps I came up with these dotty circles from Altenew - perfect!  I played with the MFT sentiment for ages before finally deciding on placement (does anyone else do that?) and added a few gems for sparkle.
