Back To Regularly Scheduled Programming!

After my foray into the world of layered patterned paper yesterday we're back with a more Jen-esque CAS card today.  :)  I've used a much more manageable (for me) amount of PP here for a bit of paper piecing on my Unity lamp and some shiny gold paper behind it. These are papers I've had since 2007 (remember those HOTP Sarapapers??) so it's time they got some use I think!  I'm playing along with Unity's Friends With Flair and also the paper piecing challenge at Less Is More.

The sky is looking a bit dark outside at the moment and I'm hoping it will rain a bit and take away some of this oppressive humidity.  All I want to do right now is sit under the ac unit with a pint of ice cream!  Seems to be the only sensible way to handle this weather really...

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill

Patterned Papers:  (Fresh Citrus Sarapapers) HOTP

Stamps:  (Lamp & sentiment from Shine On!) Unity
Ink: (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Die:  (Nesties Peony) Spellbinders

Gems:  (Bumblebee assortment) Doodlebug

I reckon it's much warmer there, but your technique sounds good to me too. If I could somehow rig up an ice bath for my feet at my desk...no fans in there, of course, and it's stifling.
I loved those Sarapapers :) Of course, I *used* mine, koff koff. Fab idea to tuck that die in behind the lampshade - such a cool effect!

How fun is THIS, Jen?! :) So cute!!! Hmmm...ice cream and the A/C sound like the perfect thing to do on a hot summer day! We finally got some rain last night, but it looks like that's going to be all for quite a few days again! It's a hot, dry summer here!!!

Great card, I love the CAS look! I like your thinking on the ice cream. I've eaten so much this week I should probably be ashamed of myself but I'm letting it slide because I picked fresh strawberries this week and turned it into delicious homemade ice cream!

First, congratulations Jen! How exciting to be on the new CASology Design Team. From the looks of your terrific blog and card designs; you're a perfect match!! I look forward to all the fun and tips from each one of the DT members.

Now ... that little lamp light. Arn't you the clever lady {insert smile}. What a creative way to interpret illumination from the lamp. Perfect with the play on words sentiment - Great Card!!
