Let's Party!

The Paper Smooches Sparks challenge this week is to be inspired by these bright, fun prints.  I was drawn to the pink, yellow and brown stripes so I cut a bunch of thin strips of cardstock to make my own striped background.  The yellow and brown made me think of the giraffe from Zoo Crew and the colours seem perfect for a party.  The giraffe even dressed up her horns with some pink bling! Hope you've all had a lovely weekend!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill, (Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Giraffe from Zoo Crew, Sentiment from Word Salad) Paper Smooches
Inks: (VersaFine Tuxedo Black) Tsukineko

Embossing Powder:  (Clear) Ranger
Gems:  (Bubblegum assortment) Doodlebug
Punch:  (Corner punch) Marvy Uchida)
Copics:  Y15, E47

Um, wow! I can't believe you were able to get that entire panel of thin cs strips adhered so perfectly. Mine would have wandered off on a slant for sure. So perfect for that cute giraffe!

Wow, I am amazed at that striped background. I love it and the giraffe certainly pops of the stripes. However, that background really is the star, in my mind. Can't believe you made it! Hope you have a great week!

That is a great connection - between the colours and stripes and the giraffe - love the background - you're much better at cutting equally sized strips than I am! Cute card!

This is so cute. I love how you made your own striped paper--your lines are perfect. That giraffe is so cute--the bling is just the best accessory for her.

Loving the striped background - I can't believe your paper cutter will trim evenly for those teeny pieces! Totally worth the fiddling for the final look :) And that giraffe...I need it. I'm waiting to order it until I can make my cart have less than 10 sets in it, lol.
