Recipe for Flowers

***This is my second post for the day!  Please click here for my Friends With Flair/Colour Throwdown post!***

I think recipe challenges are right up there with sketch challenges for me - I really struggle with them!  Probably because I very rarely use patterned paper or ribbon and most recipe challenges include at least one.  This week's Paper Players challenge included 3 different patterned papers, 2 ribbons, at least one punch and a sprinkling of glitter.  Seriously??  I was going to just let the challenge pass me by but then late this afternoon I had an attack of determination and decided to give it a go.  So here's my effort and it actually wasn't as painful a process as I had expected it to be.  I used Stampin' Up patterned paper for the punched flowers and each is centered with a touch of Stickles.  The brown ribbon is SU but the origin of the green ribbon is a mystery.
Off to bed for me now as I have to work tomorrow.  I'm trying to get some blog candy organised this weekend so watch this space!  Nighty night!

This is awesome, Jen! I tried a three-patterned-paper challenge once. Let's just say it didn't go well. :P Yours, on the other hand, is perfect! Love how you incorporated the ribbons, too.

Jen, I tend to agree with you about sketch calenges being a challenge sometimes. I would never guess that you would struggle with recipe challenges though, after seeing this pretty card. I love how you combined all of the elements, especially those ribbon "stems". Thank you so much for joining us this week at the Paper Players for my recipe challenge! :)

Hi, This is my first visit, at least that I remember. I thought when I first saw you talking about all the rain that maybe you were here in the NW. How surprised was I to find out that you were in Bermuda! I was born there in 1957. My dad was stationed @the base. We were there until I was 2.5 yrs. old. We lived in a duplex with the Defontes. Mary and her daughter still live there--on Chain Gate Middle Road--my parents visited them a couple years ago, while on a cruise. Would love to chat with you sometime.
