I think recipe challenges are right up there with sketch challenges for me - I really struggle with them! Probably because I very rarely use patterned paper or ribbon and most recipe challenges include at least one. This week's Paper Players challenge included 3 different patterned papers, 2 ribbons, at least one punch and a sprinkling of glitter. Seriously?? I was going to just let the challenge pass me by but then late this afternoon I had an attack of determination and decided to give it a go. So here's my effort and it actually wasn't as painful a process as I had expected it to be. I used Stampin' Up patterned paper for the punched flowers and each is centered with a touch of Stickles. The brown ribbon is SU but the origin of the green ribbon is a mystery.
Off to bed for me now as I have to work tomorrow. I'm trying to get some blog candy organised this weekend so watch this space! Nighty night!

This is awesome, Jen! I tried a three-patterned-paper challenge once. Let's just say it didn't go well. :P Yours, on the other hand, is perfect! Love how you incorporated the ribbons, too.
Fantastically clever way to incorporate the patterned papers Jen! Love the ribbon stems and that Cane background is fantastic! So glad you could join us at The Paper Players!
Beautiful! I love this so much. The patterned paper really makes the card. I love the stems a lot too!
I am so glad you decided to go ahead and give it a go! This is so unique, cute, and clever! Thanks for playing with The Paper Players!
I adore that background and how it is stamped on the petals too.
What a unique card. I love those flowers and the background is gorgeous. So glad you gave it a shot, as it's a stunner. Thanks for joining us this week at the Paper Players!
Jen, I tend to agree with you about sketch calenges being a challenge sometimes. I would never guess that you would struggle with recipe challenges though, after seeing this pretty card. I love how you combined all of the elements, especially those ribbon "stems". Thank you so much for joining us this week at the Paper Players for my recipe challenge! :)
Awesome card! I love all the layered flowers!
Fun card Jen! The punched flowers are amazing! So happy you join us at the Paper Players!

Just super. I love your patterns and the sweetness of the little flower bouquet.
You crack me up. The determination paid off...your card is fabulous! I love the pretty colors and that background stamp is awesome! Have a great weekend!
What a sweet little bouquet!
Hi, This is my first visit, at least that I remember. I thought when I first saw you talking about all the rain that maybe you were here in the NW. How surprised was I to find out that you were in Bermuda! I was born there in 1957. My dad was stationed @the base. We were there until I was 2.5 yrs. old. We lived in a duplex with the Defontes. Mary and her daughter still live there--on Chain Gate Middle Road--my parents visited them a couple years ago, while on a cruise. Would love to chat with you sometime.

So so pretty Jen! I really like how you used ribbon for the flower stems, it's genius!
This sounds like quite the challenge! I think you rocked it :) Love the ribbon stems, and the sweet banner sentiment!
Wow, Jen, I love the papers you used for the flowers, the ribbon stems are so pretty and I love that cane background! Check you out, using so much new stuff. ;)
Now ... this is just the cutest little card! Love it! Hugs xx
