I've been meaning to tell this Halloween story since Tuesday but kept forgetting. We very rarely get trick or treaters as we live at the end of a dead end road. This year, however, a little group turned up (just as we were sitting down to dinner of course!) Anyway as I opened the door the little girl at the front of the group yelled, "You got any candy in there?" Seriously? Whatever happened to "Trick or Treat"???

Wonderful Jen... I really love the sentiment on the guitar :)
Great design ! love the colors and layout. and the sentiment on guitar looks perfect
that's just COOL, love the whimsy of the guitars studded all over the place!
Love this card! The guitars are just super and work brilliantly with this colour scheme!
This is the coolest card Jen! LOVE that guitar image, I can see 1000 uses already, Love it!
Just brilliant Jen - the colours are the real focus here! We don't do halloween for this very reason - I'm not wild about the idea of trick or treat either!
I LOVE THIS CARD! AND YES I'M YELLING IT I LIKE IT SO MUCH. lol Really, really awesome - love the colours, adding the sentiment to the guitar, the layout, everything. So cool!
As for your Halloween tale...what the heck? If one of my kids had said that, I would have died of horror right there. Good grief! As it is, I had to stop Connor from copying the Peanuts Halloween video by saying "Trick or treat, money or eats." Sheesh.
Really cute! Love the guitars. Thanks for joining us this week at the ColourQ!!
Oh lord on the children coming to your house. Makes me angry!
Now...onto your card...love it! Love how you created the background!
Fantastic card, its got a lot of good energy to it. I had to stop my boys from saying Trick or Treat Smell My Feet Give me Something Good to Eat. They didn't learn that from me, so I'm sure that it came from someone at school.
Fantastic card, Jen! The colors are so nicely balanced, and I love the scattered gems around the sentiment. Thanks for joining us this week at the ColourQ!
SO LOVE THIS CARD!!!!!!!
Such a fun card, Jen! Totally love your guitars. I had a wonderful, polite group again this year. My husband had just put out fertilizer on the lawn and one little boy did tell me that my yard stinks. Lol! Have a fun day. Thanks for joining us at the ColourQ this week.
Cool card Jen, those guitars are perfect for the colours...love how you've positioned them too, would've taken me ages to decide that !
Jenny :)
"You got any candy in there?" Seriously? Sheesh. We hardly ever get any kids, either, but we had a record-breaking ELEVEN this year!
Okay, the card... I think I NEED this stamp, especially now that I see how awesomely you've used it! I love the different colours with the one solid, popped-up and blinged one.
Great card! Way to "rock" those Market Street Stamps--I love the background pattern you created with the guitars!
Oh, yeah, I always play teacher when kids come to the door and just hold their bag out, "I'm sorry, I don't think I heard you..." Or how about the MOMS that come with their own bag to hold out? (The previous was an excerpt from the "Halloween" chapter in my book "What is Wrong with People?" ;) )
Jen, this is so cool! I love your use of the colours, and the guitar image. :)
Hi Jen - thanks for the lovely comment - really pleased to be a Courtier and in such good company too!
A great idea for using some tricky colours! Love the guitar image! Hugs xx
Rockin' card! Love the placement of the of the guitars. Yeah, trick or treating isn't the same anymore. Ha!
Very cool card AND funny Halloween story~I think only two or three of my "gremlins" said Trick or Treat, the others just held their bag open for candy :-P
