Flower & Dino

Hi there!

It's been ages since I've done any crafting - the last few weeks have been pretty intense.  I finally managed to get some time to create this weekend but it was VERY slow going.  It always takes a while to get back in the groove after a break but I'm glad to be back.

I've got two cards to share today.  First up is for Freshly Made Sketches and The Flower Challenge (Anything Goes).  I inked up this yummy Altenew lily with Altenew inks and paired it with a Winnie & Walter sentiment and some MFT paper.  It's ridiculous how long this took me to make but, like I said, it takes time to get going again.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink
Patterned Paper:  (Grey & White Basics 6x6) My Favourite Things
Stamps:  (Flower from Layered Lily) Altenew, (Sentiment from Sentimental: Birthday) Winnie & Walter
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Pink Diamond, Pinkalicius, Rubellite, Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Evergreen) Altenew
Gems:  Recollections

Next is a card for CAS Colours & Sketches and Seize the Birthday (Anything Goes).  This is the first time I've used this Paper Smooches dinosaur die.  How cute is he?  I paired him with an MFT sentiment but I thought he needed something to make him look a bit more celebratory so I dug out the Simon Says Stamp balloon for him to take along to the party.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Textured White, Green) Bazzill, (Crushed Curry, Bravo Burgundy) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Sentiment from Prehistoric Fun) My Favourite Things
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Dies:  (Dino) Paper Smooches, (Balloon) Simon Says Stamp

I hear you, it's hard to find the mojo after a break, what is that? Anyhow, looks like you got there my friend, these are both so wonderful!

I had some slack time last week and I feel your pain, Jen. You've bounced back beautifully with that lovely lily. Love the sentiment with the dragon.

Ha! Love the sentiment on your second card, Jen, and your first card is beautiful! The lily works so well with the grid paper!

Gorgeous lily, Jen ... the pink is fabulous with the grey ... and that little dinosaur is adorable ... so cute and yep, celebratory, with his party balloon! So with you on how long Monsieur Mojo takes to wind up again after not being around for a while ... he's being really slow here too! Hugs, Anita :)

That lily is so beautiful, Jen, and I love your card layout to let the bloom shine.

The dinosaur card is what brought me here today, and between the cuteness of the T-rex and the punny sentiment, I've got a big smile on my face. I'm sure the card will have the same reaction on the person who receives it! Thanks so much for sharing it with us at CC&S.
Your lily card is lovely, too!

I'm the same as Therese, I always find it hard to get back into crafting after a break away. Its so odd but it takes my brain so long to get creative again and think up new ideas. Certainly looks like you haven't lost anything in the 'making gorgeous cards' dept though!! Love that lily so much and its colours just jump off that white background. And that dinosaur couldn't be more adorable. So glad to see you crafting again and even more happy you joined us at The Flower Challenge!!

I always struggle to get back into the card making after a break jen - I'd never have guessed looking at your cards. The flower is just stunning, especially with the neutral DP and the dinosaur is just adorable! Thanks for playing at FMS this week!
