CASology #186

Welcome to Week 186 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

I went straight for the watercolor smooshing technique when I saw this cue word.  I used Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and smooshed it on some watercolor paper, dried it and smooshed some more on top.  I did that a few times and love the cool texture it ended up with.  I die cut a circle from the smooshed paper, paper pieced the Lawn Fawn whale and popped him up on foam tape.

Now it's your turn to show us your CAS distress cards so check out the beautiful inspiration from the rest of the design team and then play along!

And this week's guest designer:

Link your creations to the CASology blog and remember that the deadline for entries is Monday at noon (CST).

I'm also going to enter my card in the Celebration challenge at Lawnscaping.

This is so fun - I never think smoosh once, let alone more than once - but what a cool effect! Love the geometric dp too!

Two of my favorites on this one: ink smooching and Peacock Feather Distress Ink! Your textures, colors, layout...all fab!

I love smooshing and yours looks great, Jen. And of course you'd have a punny sentiment. ;)

Aaawwww! How cute is this little (big) guy?? Love how your paper-pieced him in those subtle geometrics and had completely forgotten about that smooshing technique. Even the name sounds aquatic! Waves don't 'lap' on the shore, they 'smoosh', don't they?? ;-)
