Finally, after a week of struggling, I feel like I'm getting back in the card making groove. I always feel awkward when I come back from a break and I was really starting to panic especially as I had some deadlines to meet for special orders. Today though, I made progress. I got 3 special orders done and even played along with two challenges. Whoop whoop! This card is for my cousin as a thank you for a Christmas gift. I used the colours from the Colour Throwdown challenge (as I thought they had a masculine feel) and the Memory Box Meadow Bird (as the gift was "To Kill A Mockingbird" related). Hopefully the mojo will keep grooving tomorrow and I'll have lots more to share this week!

This is so pretty. I like how you used those colors.
I love the gorgeous script background. Perfect!
Gotta say, I'm a bit slow getting back on track (I've currently been working on the same card for 3 days...), but totally enjoying it all the same! Your card is so elegant Jen, these colours are perfect for this design!
Wow Jen, sounds like you had a productive day! I am a 'one card at a time' girl and I struggle with that :) Love the way you used the colours for this card and it sounds like a perfect card for the gift.
I SO HEAR YOU! Sometimes it takes me having that sort of deadline panic to get going, though. Procrastination is my best friend some days. Too cool an idea, to match the theme of the thank you with the theme of the gift! Is it just me or would that be especially fun for wedding thanks?
Awesome colors!
Awesome card! I really like the look of those nested die cuts framing the yellow bird. And isn't it nice when someone _really_ knows your interests? :)
Great color mixing, Jen! I love that MB bird and how it totally pops in the Kiwi color, but my favorite part is the subtly matching paint splotches linking it with the sentiment ... brilliant!
