CASology #26

Welcome to Week 26 of CASology!  Here's the cue card for this week:

Having spent Christmas in Chicago with my brother I was definitely in need of some cozy mittens!  Despite living in Bermuda I actually have a rather large collection of mittens, gloves, hats and scarves but they spend most of their lives packed away in boxes awaiting the next trip abroad.  I paper pieced these Papertrey Ink mittens using the colours from this week's Play Date Cafe challenge.  The gems add a touch if interest and the blue snowflakes tie the sentiment into the design.  So let's see what winter wonders you have in your stash! But first, go check out the super fabulous design team for more inspiration:

And this week's guest designer:

Link your creations to the CASology blog and remember that submissions are due by 4pm CST Sunday, 13 January.

Love the rich colours that you get by paper piecing, and admire your patience for fussy cutting!

major cuteness, kiddo! Loving how you used this unusual color combo and the white space on you card.

What Ardyth said... really like the colours and paper-piecing! This way, it CAN be a winter card, doesn't seem restricted to Christmas. So nice!

I'm with you, I love the 'snowy' stamps... but it's summer here at Christmas, eventually I just decided that it really doesn't matter and I'll just stamp what I want lol! Super fab CAS design Jen!

I checked out your weather and while it isn't exactly mitten weather it isn't as hot as I thought it would be. Glad you shared some of your mitten stash with us!

I love this fabulous color combo. I would not have imagined it working so well for a winter themed card, BUT it sooo does :)

I love these colours together! And I hear you on mittens...although all of ours are out right now. The dog has so far eaten 3 this winter...well, ripped to shreds.

The mittens are really cute in those colors (I was stumped with them.) Great paper piecing.
