Having spent Christmas in Chicago with my brother I was definitely in need of some cozy mittens! Despite living in Bermuda I actually have a rather large collection of mittens, gloves, hats and scarves but they spend most of their lives packed away in boxes awaiting the next trip abroad. I paper pieced these Papertrey Ink mittens using the colours from this week's Play Date Cafe challenge. The gems add a touch if interest and the blue snowflakes tie the sentiment into the design. I love these colours together! And I hear you on mittens...although all of ours are out right now. The dog has so far eaten 3 this winter...well, ripped to shreds.
