De Light Ful!

I'm excited to have posted every day this week!  I've had a change in my work schedule that has really enabled me to make better use of my time and it's starting to show.  I'm hoping the schedule will stay this way for a while.  :)  I'm joining in with Unity's Friends With Flair blog hop today.  It's been a while since I gave my Unity stamps some love and played along so here I am.  I used stamps from the December Kit of the Month and the colours are from the current Paper Players challenge.  Love this colour combo - it's great for masculine cards.  I played around with some Nestabilities dies to make these fun cut outs and create a funky layout.  Different but I like it!

I'm really looking forward to work today as my coworker has a new puppy, Kenzie, who is spending her days at the clinic with us.  On Wednesday Kenzie gobbled down her lunch, climbed inside my sweatshirt (a front zip one that was only half zipped) and passed out asleep for the next hour and a half.  I got a few odd looks from clients when they saw my lumpy "belly" but she was too cute to disturb so she stayed there while I went about my work!  Nothing like a puppy to make a day better.  :)

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill, (Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Basic Grey) Stampin' Up

Ink:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Dies:  (Nesties Long Classic Rectangles Large) Spellbinders

Markers:  (Y15) Copic

Jen, this is truly delightful! I love the funky shapes you created and the accent of bling.

I am sorry I haven't been around lately - life is crazy here. Congrats on posting every day and I hope your new schedule sticks around! I am looking forward to my own schedule change in a month or so. I live your puppy story - they do make life happy!

Cute puppy story. Genius idea on separating the letters to highlight "light"!

How cool is this fun & funky framing? And a pun? Sheesh! Love it!
And puppy in sweater? Basically a puppy snuggle that lasted all afternoon? *happy sigh* There is something therapeutic about a happy baby (really of any species, lol) that cannot be matched. And now you must provide us with pictures of this critter!

I love your funky shapes. I have to make a birthday card for a 20-something guy this weekend, so I might scraplift you on this! I loved your puppy story! I get to take one of my dogs to work with me each day and I feel it's a big bonus to do it. Dogs are a great stress reliever.

This is a really neat card. I like it!! We have two puppies - they are now about 4 months old, half red heeler and half hound. They are so much fun.

Neat card and great story. My puppy is recovering from surgery. She got spayed but she's a real trooper.
