This past week has been painful in the card making department. I can't tell you how many hours I've spent staring at my stash, making half hearted attempts at projects and panicking that I'd never produce another card. My mojo has really been roughing me up! I was determined to produce something today though. I set myself the task of using the colours from this week's ColourQ challenge and making a mother's day card for the Simon Says Stamp challenge. Initially all I could think of when I looked at these colours was PTI's Rosie Posie. I stamped away with that set for ages before I gave up and decided to go really simple. Nothing amazing or groundbreaking about this card but I think it's pretty and I like it which is more than I can say for anything else I've come up with this week! The only thing I want to point out is the sentiment. It looks a bit blurry in the picture but it's actually stamped with two colours. I thought it looked too harsh stamped in Chocolate Chip so I stamped it again (but just off to the side) with Blushing Bride to soften it up a bit. I'm kind of diggin' the look...
I'm hoping that this card will help break the mojo freeze and that tomorrow will be a little more productive. Watch this space...
Cardstock: (White) Gina K, (Chocolate Chip, Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride, Certainly Celery) SU
Stamps: (Sentiment from Think Big Favourites #2) PTI

Embossing Powder: (Clear) Ranger

Great minds Jen... I used that sentiment for my card today too :) I like the two tone effect you got and your card is very pretty. Sure hope the mojo returns soon.
Love!!!
Sorry about your mojo. Sometimes it just escapes. This card is great, however. I like how you double stamped the sentiment, and framed it in that die cut and with those beautiful flowers. You should link up with this week's CAS-Friday challenge. This card would be perfect for it.
Beautiful card..I'm thinking that mojo may be coming back:)
Great card Jen, I love that you outlined the sentiment! I'll have to remember to do that next time I use that stamp :)TFS!
Beautiful card! Loss of mojo is an uncomfortable part of the creative process. I often feel as you describe that it will never return but it always does.
Beautiful card, Jen, lovely design and use of the colors! Thanks for joining us this week at the ColourQ and sharing your card.
How in the world did you make that shadow so perfectly? This is fabulous Jen. I go through phases too where I don't like what I am creating, but this one knocks it out of the park!
I love it! The sentiment technique is awesome - usually I end up going the other way, too light & then adding the dark so people can read it!
I hear you on the 'what's wrong with my mojo??' - I did make a lot this week, but probably half were what I call 'wtf' cards...not ending up where I meant to go, but not liking them either. Sigh.
Incredible, your embossed frame is gorgeous and those awesome flowers. Looks like your mojo is back--this is lovely. I am with you, I think it is the weather although it has been a mild winter it has been very gray.
I adore the way you've used the color choices here! Such a perfect balance! I went a whole two week with nothing coming out right, I hope it doesn't last that long for you!
This is beautiful, Jen! I'm glad your mojo is back but we all have those days. I really love how you made a pink shadow for the sentiment!
Jen, I love this! The sentiment really does pop (I'm going to have to give this a whirl soon as I love that shadow effect you created).
Your card is stunning and I hope your mojo kicks into high gear as I think you're off to a fabby start!
What the heck? You type you've got no mojo but check out that fancy smancy stamping...love that idea of softening things up a smidge. genius if you ask me...I love your card!
Sorry to hear you've been struggling with your mojo! I'd never know it from this beauty, thought. Wow! The flowers framing the corner are so pretty, and I absolutely love the way you've stamped the sentiment. Thanks for sharing this with us at the ColourQ!
Gorgeous card! Love the 3D sentiment.
Ah, it's always heartening to hear that others struggle sometimes, too. ;) Looks like your mojo is on the rebound, if this beauty is any indication! That double-stamped sentiment is brilliant!
OMGoodness, this card is fabulous! No mojo problem to me! I love the simplicity and yet your shadow stamping and dimension really step this card up to the "fantastic" notch! Thanks so much for sharing your creation with us this week at CQC!
I know exactly what you've been through this week and then out of the blue it happens... a spark of mojo! Looks like that happened here because this is a seriously gorgeous card Jen :0)
Love the pretty floral border and the nifty shadow stamping...hope you have a crafty day today ;0)

I so understand, Jen...sometimes I just need to walk away! You did great, though! This double-stamped sentiment is a great idea to soften the look. These flowers are so dear - a lovely "come back" for your mojo!
Tell that mojo to come back! If only it was that easy... Your card turned out fab, and I am amazed that you were able to stamp in a second color so cleanly (I would try for an hour to get it placed just right--ha ha). The CAS look and the colors are gorgeous.
Well, your mojo was certainly present on THIS card! It's so pretty! I love the layered stamping and the corner detail. Big hugs, I think you are uber-talenented!! :)
Ah, I know the feeling of that staring and trying and not making anything you're happy with. I've been having that feeling a lot myself lately. But this is awesome. Love what you did with the sentiment. Can't wait to try that myself. :)
Gorgeous card! Love the colors and the sentiment looks great double-stamped like that. Ann Y.
I love your simple cards beause they still have hidden gems like the shadow stamping. Perfectly done.
I think we need a mojo support group. So many of us are struggling lately. I think wine and cheesecake should be a reqirement at said meetings.
Congratulations on your win ,with this gorgeous card!
Whoop whoop.... You've done it again your majesty :0)
Lol

Awesome win for an awesome card! That should help (I hope) you get your mojo back full force!
Gorgeous with a capital 'G'! LOVE this sentiment and the great use of those colours!
