Fast Watercolor Flower

Hi there!

I've got a card today for 3 challenges.  Just Us Girls challenged us to use Jennifer McGuire's Fast Watercoloring technique.  It looked easy enough so I gave it a try and made a bunch of flowers that look so awesome!  This is the first one I'm sharing using the sketch from Just Add Ink.  I'm also playing along with the Simon Says Wednesday challenge to Distress It (since I used Distress inks).  There are lots of different companies showcased here - the flower and leaves are Altenew, the Happy is Mama Elephant, the Birthday is Winnie & Walter and the patterned paper is MFT.  It really is a wonderfully easy technique especially as I really have never mastered the whole watercolor thing.  Expect to see more in the future!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Watercolor) Ranger, (White) Papertrey Ink, (Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper:  (Gray & White Basics 6x6) My Favourite Things
Stamps:  (Flower & leaves from Hennah Elements) Altenew, (Birthday from Sentimental: Birthday) Winnie & Walter
Ink:  (VersaMark, VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Abandoned Coral, Fossilized Amber, Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover) Ranger
Embossing Powder:  (Opaque Bright White Super Fine) Wow
Dies:  (Happy) Mama Elephant
Gems:  Recollections

Your flower and leaves look subtly blended and wonderfully vibrant Jen. Love the bright pop against the neutral background. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.

So pretty! Love the results you achieved on that flower with this technique and the way you did the sentiment. Thanks for playing along with us at JUGS!
