Balloons & Sunshine

I can't believe the weekend is over already.  I had really hoped to get more time in the Craft Cave but at least I managed to get 2 cards done.  This card uses the palette from the Colour Me challenge and the design from Freshly Made Sketches.  I was inspired by the decorations in the Colour Me photo and pulled out some Simon Says balloon dies and a sentiment.  This came together really quickly which doesn't happen too often.  :)  Love that!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) PaperTrey Ink, (Pink Pirouette, Melon mambo, Tangerine Tango, Perfect Plum) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Sentiment from Birthday Balloons) Simon Says Stamp, (Strings from Party Kit) Mama Elephant
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Smokey Slate) Stampin' Up
Gems:  Recollections

Next up is a card using the sketch from Fusion and the palette from ColourQ.  I love the adorable butterfly flip flops in the ColourQ picture but despite them and the butterfly in the Fusion photo I veered away from butterflies completely.  Instead I inked up this Hero Arts sun and sentiment and then added some Lawn Fawn sunshine to it.  I'd like to go back and have another play with the Fusion photo but we'll see if I can get back to the Craft Cave any time soon.  Hope you all have a lovely week!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) PaperTrey Ink, (Daffodil Delight, Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Night of Navy) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Sun & hello from CL765) Hero Arts, (Sunshine from Sunny Skies) Lawn Fawn
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Sequins:  Studio Calico

That font on the 'happy birthday' is amazing. You've really captured the festive look of those colors with your fun balloons too. Sweet birthday card! And I love your take on the Colorq palette. The lines beneath your 'hello' is a wonderful touch. Sweet, sweet sun, and I LOVE those yellow sequins. Two great cards, Jen. Love 'em! Bev

Love both your cards, Jen! I really like how you allowed each challenge color to stand independently in your birthday card, and your Hello Sunshine card is CAS perfection! So glad you joined us this week at Colour Me!

Here it is obvious the weekend is over because it stopped raining for a day. -_- At least you got some crafting done! I love the big balloons and the colours of the birthday card. I like how you took the accent colour in the Fusion photo and made it shine! Two great cards.

Two fabulous cards. Love the giant balloons floating upwards off of your card, and the fabulous sun on your second card.
