Card Concept & Colour Throwdown

Good morning!  I'm popping in today with two cards for four challenges.  First up is my card for The Card Concept and CAS on Sunday.  I love the bedding set in The Card Concept photo and was inspired by the off the edge pattern, the pierced edging around the headboard and Deanna Dean's card.  The green is quite dark in this photo - wishing I'd used a lighter one now but oh well.  I think this card could fit in the Clean and Simple or Clean and Graphic category.  CAS on Sunday asked us to use black, white and one colour in our design so this card fits perfectly with the challenge.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill, (Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Flower) Hero Arts, (Sentiment from You Said It) Fresh Squeezed Stamps
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Old Olive) Stampin' Up
Die:  (Stitched Squares) Lil' Inker Designs
Gems:  Recollections

My second card is for The Colour Throwdown challenge and the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge.  I pulled out my little used Papertrey Ink Rosie Posie stamps and dies and made a bright and cheery get well card.  I realized that most of my cards lately have been on white bases so it was fun to use a bright colour this time.  :)  Hope you're having a lovely day!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Pacific Point) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Flower and stem from Rosei Posei & Rosie Posie Step 2, Sentiment from Think Big Favourites #6) Papertrey Ink
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Soft Suede) Stampin' Up
Die:  (Rosie Posie) Papertrey Ink

I love both cards! The first on has a simple elegance to it, while the 2nd one is more playful. Very nice!

Love both, but especially how bright and bold that second one is! And I do like sunflowers a lot, so that might be another factor. ;)

Love the big green "mum" and curved sentiment and there's nothing better than a bright sunflower to make someone feel better.
