Another nautical card from me today. This one was inspired by the photo for the current Cure for the Monday Blues challenge. I was inspired mostly by the colours - red dishes, cream walls and black and white striped bowl. The combo just felt nautical to me so I went with it. I used some birch wood paper for the circle and inlaid the die into it. The stripes were cut from black cardstock and laid on the white card base. I'm also going to enter this into the Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes challenge.
Supplies Used:
Cardstock: (White) Bazzill, (Real Red, Basic Black) Stampin' Up, (Life Birch Wood Paper) Simon Says Stamp
Stamps: (Sentiment from Wicked Nauticool) Paper Smooches
Inks: (Real Red) Stampin' Up
Dies: (Anchor) Paper Smooches
Punch: (3" circle) Marvy Uchida

A wonderful little nautical beauty Jen!
Great nautical design, matey :)
I really like how the birch frames the anchor and contrasts with the stripes! A very cool card.
Love this. I like the contrast of the stiff straight lines and the funky font of the sentiment.
Superb!! Love the way u interpreted the photo :)

I so love the wide stripes here - they totally make the card, and really go so well with the chunky anchor! I love how you picked up a nautical vibe from the inspiration - now you've done that I can't stop thinking that myself!! Thanks so much for playing to find a Cure For The Monday Blues!
Inlaid die with wood? THUD. This ROCKS. Love the simplicity of it!
