Birthday Butterfly Muse

Sunday already. *Sigh*  And in the blink of an eye it will be Sunday again!  The days are just coming around way too fast.

Anyhow I want to share a card I made that was inspired by Vicki's lovely card over at the Muse challenge.  I tried some misting with a chevron mask and popped up the black panel and then the Skipping Stones Designs butterfly and the banner to add lots of dimension.  I am in need of birthday cards so I stuck with Vicki's sentiment and I'm going to play along with Seize the Birthday

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill, (Poppy Parade, Basic Black) Stampin' Up

Ink:  (VersaFine) Tsukineko
Die:  (Stitched Circles) Lil' Inker
Gems:  (Red) Doodlebug, (Black) Recollections
Mist:  (Mister Huey's Water cooler) Studio Calico

Love how you've included all the elements of Vicki's Muse, but mixed it up so it's completely you! Thanks for joining us this week!

That's a lovely butterfly, Jen, and the misting is so even. I don't know how you did it but it looks great.

So pretty. Your inspiration is clear, yet your finished card is very different -- love it! Perfect bling placement as always, too.

I have the biggest stash of 'hello' 'thinking of you' etc etc cards, I'm with you on the basics I need to increase my stash as well and what a great way to do it, this butterfly totally pops off the card front Jen!

Love your interpretation of Vicki's card. That butterfly is so pretty, and those chevrons work so well as a backdrop. The black card front is so dramatic.
