Bright Flowers For A Grey Day

Good day!  It's grey and humid here today.  We've had a bit of rain.  Not enough to make a difference to the water tank but hopefully it will help reduce the crunchiness of the grass!
I'm playing along with two of Arielle's challenges today - ColourQ and RetroSketches.  I pulled out some Hero Arts stamps that I won from the Flashback Friday Challenge (thanks, Amy!) and inked them up for the first time.  I like how these colours pop off the Early Espresso background. I added some Stickles to their centres and used all three colours for the twine.  Hope the rest of your day is lovely.  I'm going out to do a little dancing to see if I can encourage some more rain.  If not, at least the neighbours will have a bit of entertainment!  :)

Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill, (Early Espresso) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Flowers and sentiment from Lucious Patterned Flowers) Hero Arts
Inks: (VersaMark) Tsukineko, (Real Red, So Saffron, Pool Party) Stampin' Up

Embossing Powder:  (Seafoam White) Ranger

Impression Plate:  (Linen & Canvas) PTI

Twine:  (Maraschino, Buttercream. Caribbean) The Twinery
Stickles:  (Xmas Red, Yellow, Eucalyptus) Ranger
Punch:  (1/8" hole punch) McGill

Pretty flowers! I love those colors and they do look great against that dark card base. I like how you carried the colors over to the twine, as well. Ann

Aren't you sweet, thinking of the neighbours :) We've got a nice day today, and once I get Riley I'll be lounging with Abby in our still-crunchy-from-winter grass :) Well, on a chair, but anyway.
I love the colour combo - those flowers just pop off the base! - and the twine looks great tripled up :) And I see white EP - I used it yesterday and thought of you!

Wonderful card, Jen, I love the look, so clean! Did you emboss that white sentiment or is it a rub on? It looks perfect! Thanks for joining us this week at the ColourQ and sharing your card!

I would send some rain over if I could...we've had about 3" over the last three weeks!!!
The three flowers jump off that card at me, love how you've combined both challenges and a neat bit of twine too :0)
Best get dancing then.

I'm loving those big flowers Jen! They remind me of when you plant fresh flowers in the flower bed and the colors just pop against the dark brown of the soil! Glad you played Retrosketches this week! :)

Great card! I love how the twine matches the flowers, and your bow is so neat. :-) This colour combination is beautiful.

You have me giggling at the thought of you dancing in your yard! We've had non-stop rain, I wish I could send some to you!

I like that flower a lot -- and looks great in bright colours against the brown! And of course you have all the matching stickles. :D

Love how those flowers totally pop on the dark bg! Great take on the sketch, I think you're officially converting to a sketch girl!

Man, this card turned out awesome! Those flowers are just popping off of that brown base. And that sentiment looks so good embossed! I've been on an embossing spree myself lately but I think I need of those embossing magic things. I'm terrible with the stray powder. Unlike your embossing which is nothing less than immaculate!

Have an awesome weekend my friend! And I hope a bit of rain comes your way:)
