For this card I decided to try and improve my digi skills and play with the images on the computer a bit more. I used the tree image from Digital Potpourri's Halloween Horrors and the leaf piles and individual leaf from the Digi Butterfly's Fall Leaves Clip Art. It took me a while to figure out the layering and rotating but I got there in the end and created this little scene. Of course, I had to have some traditional stamping in there so stamped the sentiment and layered the image on embossed card stock.
After finishing the card I played around with layering some more. I layered a couple of the leaf piles and then added a label from Assorted Labels to the top. I stamped names on them, fussy cut them, added cardstock props to the back and ended up with these cute place cards! I thought they'd be perfect for a table on Thanksgiving. :)
Fun stuff huh? There really is a huge selection of goodies in the Print Candee store and they are always offering specials. Congratulations on your first ever hop, fabulous projects here! That card is so amazing, I love the sentiment you've chosen. And a great way to showcase a mix of digital stamps and real stamps too!
A great autumn card Jen. I love how you have left one leaf on the tree! Great place cards as well...that was a lot of fussy cutting, but with great results!
A craft cave in Bermuda sounds like my idea of bliss!!!! Beautiful autumn colours on your card! How clever you are .... rotating and layering!
Oh, I'm so excited for you Jen, you've worked wonders with the digi images ..... I love the lone leaf hanging on although that huge pile of leaves look inviting too ;)
Will continue the hop later, just wanted to share your news now :)

Oh my! Next you will add a computer to the craft cave (I highly recommend it). You have totally embraced 'hybrid' cards and what a WOW result. This card and the name cards are fantabulous!!! Thanks for joining our hop, it's been so much fun!
Loving those leaves, Jen. Still "so-so" about digital ... but I am seeing some lovely stuff around! Great work here! Hugs xx
Hi Jen, I too love hanging out in my craft area! Your card is so much fun! The "Hang in There" is so sweet with the one leaf still clinging on to the tree. I'm tempted to try making your place cards for my Thanksgiving table next month.
Happy hopping. I am sure it will be your first of many! Love your card..what a clever idea with the leaves!

I'd say your digi skills are doing just fine! The card is perfect with the tree and the pile of leaves (this doesn't really happen where you live, does it? :P) and the place cards are sweet.
