I have been going completely nuts trying to take a decent picture of today's card for The Play Date Cafe. I have a really hard time getting a picture of black card stock so that it actually looks black and not brown or grey. Even my new light box that I made this weekend (thanks to Therese's instructions) isn't cutting it (although I think it's partly because my light bulbs are too warm. I'm having trouble finding cool, white bulbs.) Anyway before I got too frustrated and tossed my camera off the dock I settled for this picture. I used a Unity stamp and embossed the image on black card stock.
**Tip Of The Day**

Gorgeous card, Jen! I love the white embossing on black. You handstitched that?! I don't think you need a sewing machine but of course it would be quicker. LOL
Superb card and i love the colours. Impressed with your hand sewing:-)
Oooo! LOVE the way that metallic pen looks on the black, Jen! Yummy! Thanks so much for playing along with us this week at The Play Date Cafe!
Hilarious post Jen!
How awesome is that stamp!! Love how you embossed it on the black added those fab green highlights and the stitching! (Thanks for the shout! Sometimes the 'cool' white globes can be called 'daylight').
I have that stamp and would've never thought to use it this way. You've really used it wonderfully on that black! Love it. Thanks so much for playing along at The Play Date Cafe.
Your post is cracking me up! Very cool card and I love the pops of green. I am totally digging that stamp.
I think the black looks black and the photo is fine, but I agree--black, cream, and kraft are hard to photograph. Photoshop is my friend.
Yes, you must get a sewing machine. It makes life much easier ;)
