Hero Arts has so many big layered flower images that are great for paper piecing. I used some My Mind's Eye paper that came free with a magazine (whoo hoo for freebies!). I thought it was a bright and colourful mom-esque card so I added mom sentiment. I had fun with the bling too. :)
Supplies: PP: My Mind's Eye; Stamps: HA, Elzybells, Inks: VersaFine Onyx Black, Palette Jardin Moss; Bling: Doodlebug |
This dude was about half the size of the last one and a lot faster. He got away from me before I could relocate him outside. Guess that means I'll be seeing him again at some point...

Okay...no need to share pictures of the spiders! LOL! I love this card...beautiful flower! And you've been on a roll winning! I saw where you won on Emily's blog too!!
Aaack, that spider scared the bejeebins out of me lol! But it was worth it to see your GORGEOUS card, I LOVE that big beautiful flower!!!
What a gorgeous mother's day card. Your paper piecing is perfect. Please don't tell me this spider is in your house. I don't think I would be able to sleep until he is found!
Bling is good, the spider, hmm, not so good in my world! Thanks for asking about me, I've just returned from a trip to see my baby nephew! No time to craft at all!
Eeek! (spider reaction). Eeek! (card reaction). The paper piecing is super!! Love the color combo--the blue bling is a great color element!
OK, first off, gorgeous card! I love those paper pieced flowers, and the little bit of bling.
second, I got chills when I saw that photo. I agree with Brandi, there is no way I could sleep until I knew where that thing was! :)
Gorgeous card but forget the spider!!! Thanks for playing at Just ADD Ink.
Such a lovely paper-pieced flower.

Ok now that my heart is back where it should be, I will go ahead and talk about the beautiful card because it deserves the talk here! I am in LOVE!!!!! Beautiful! Now spiders and I really don't get along! Sorry! I live in Florida right now, and I don't dig them at all...I have to kill them!
gorgeous flower!
Ewwww!!! Is that spider really as big as I think it might be? :S The only time I saw a cockroach so big that it sounded like it was wearing clogs was on my trip to Costa Rica. It's body was the size of my palm. Yuck!
I love your card though! The colours and layers are so pretty!! I don't own any of those large Hero Arts flowers and I desperately want some now.
Gorgeous Flower, Super scary Spider!! Love the dimension and bling, looks fab! Thanks for joining us at Wee Memories this week.
