Wavy Birthday

Today's card is inspired by the CAS Colors and Sketches double challenge.  Usually I have a hard enough time just following a sketch or colours so it's pretty rare that I play long when I have to combine both.  I stumbled across this PTI birthday die that I haven't used in ages and thought it would be perfect for the circle element.  My first attempt at this card used straight blue stripes but it seemed a little meh so I went for some wavy stripes.  (Hopefully it doesn't mean I've started too far from the sketch).  I'm also going to play along with the Anything Goes portion of Seize the Birthday

Scalloped Birthday

Today's card was super simple to put together and I'm entering it in the Inspired By... challenge.  I thought of this Pretty Pink Posh scalloped edge die as soon as I saw the pillow in the inspiration photo.  I love it but it definitely hasn't gotten as much use as it should.  Glad to finally remedy that situation!

Bright Birthdays and Babies

I've got some more Just for the Heck of It cards today.  I became obsessed with these Pretty Pink Posh Stacked Edges dies thanks to Jeanne Jachna and cards like these and this and this.  They add so much movement and colour to her cards and are a big change for me from my usual white card bases.

For the first two cards I used a Papertrey Ink birthday die cut.  I stacked it 3 times and then covered it with Glossy Accents.

For these next two cards I uses a Simon Says Stamp sentiment and a little teddy bear from Mama Elephant.  I really wanted the backgrounds to be the star of the show so I kept the rest of the cards pretty simple.

Hey, Sugar!

Hello there!

I have a bright and colorful card today for the Inkspirational photo challenge.  The popsicles in that picture look super tempting right now in this crazy summer heat - I'll take one of each please!  My popsicle is courtesy of Reverse Confetti and the fun patterned paper is from an ancient Basic Grey 12x12 kit called Lollipop Shoppe.  The zig zag die is from Pretty Pink Posh and I love it!  It makes it so easy to create a fun background.
