Flying Panda

Hi there!

I've got a card today for the Seize the Birthday Anything Goes challenge and the Time Out Wild challenge.  I'm continuing in my efforts to burn through some patterned paper.  At this rate I should run out by 2026.  :)  This paper is from Studio Calico.  The panda is Mama Elephant, the sentiment is Altenew and the balloon is Lil' Inker.  A cacophony of companies all playing together!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper:  (Darling Dear 6x6) Studio Calico

Ink:  (VersaMark, VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Embossing Powder:  (Opaque Bright White Super Fine) Wow
Dies:  (Balloon) Lil' Inker Designs
Twine:  The Twinery

Go wild, my friend. This card is wonderful, and I love that patterned paper you have used. You'd better start shopping, if you are going to be out of paper by 2026. It's never too early to be prepared. Thanks so much for playing along at Time Out.

What a cutie, Jen ... a sweet wild panda floating off against cool wild pp ... brilliant! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Hugs, Anita :)

You should start a 'use patterned paper' challenge, Jen. Then we could all get rid of some. The colors of those zig-zags makes this a great masculine card with that cutie panda sailing in with good wishes.

Wonder if you came up with 2026 with the disclaimer of not purchasing any more pattern paper!! ;) I think I could compete with you in that section, and I could happily join a challenge, if you start one, as Bobby says!!
But leaving that aside, I think you've made use of the pattern paper fabulously in this card - a a great background and a wonderful way to add some color and design to a card! Thank you so much for joining us at the Seize the Birthday challenge!

What a great card! I love the chevrons with the panda! The crispness of the panda really stands out against the chevron background. Good luck on your mission to whittle down your patterned paper stash! :) I'm trying to think of the last time I used patterned paper... And it's pretty pathetic that I can't remember when that was, right? Yikes! And I have a bin of it on my desk (and a tiny bit more in a 12x12 drawer). Either it's time to purge more or commit to using more like you have done so. I'm planning to make a memory book for Lexi so some of my patterned paper will be good for that project (once I get started...).
