Watercolor & Cardstock

I was so happy to get back into the Craft Cave today for a good few hours.  I did 19 days in a row at work and when I'm in the thick of that I struggle to keep my mojo flowing.  Today was good though.  Despite feeling a bit rusty at first I managed to get a few cards made that I'm pretty happy with.

First up is an entry for the Addicted to Stamps and More! photo inspiration challenge.  I embossed the Skipping Stones Designs sentiment in white and then painted the background with Gansai Tambi paints.  The butterfly (also SSD) was embossed on vellum and popped up with strategically placed foam tape.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Watercolour) Ranger, (Black) Papertrey Ink, (Vellum)
Stamps:  (All from Always Here) Skipping Stones Designs
Ink:  (VersaMark) Tsukineko
Embossing Powder:  (Opaque Bright White Super Fine) Wow
Watercolors:  (Gansai Tambi) Kuretake
Die:  (Scalloped frame) WPlus9

Next is a really simple card using the palette from ColourQ.  I paper pieced the Mama Elephant Freestyle Florals and highlighted them with markers and Stickles.  I love this Essentials by Ellen sentiment die.  I cut it three times here and covered it with Glossy Accent.  I finished it off with faux enamel dots - hole punched card stock topped with Glossy Accents!  I'm also entering this in the Just Add Ink - Just Add "F" challenge and the Simon Says Wednesday Fabulous Florals challenge

That's it for tonight.  See you tomorrow for CASology!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Bazzill, (Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Garden Green, Night of Navy) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Flowers from Freestyle Florals) Mama Elephant
Ink:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Die:  (Many Thanks) Essentials by Ellen
Punches:  (1/8' & 1/4" holes punches) McGill
Markers:  (Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Garden Green) Stampin' Up
Glitter:  (Star Dust Stickles) Ranger
Other:  (Glossy Accents) Ranger

GF You must be exhausted! I am so glad to hear that you are back in the cave and chillaxing, love your fab designs, especially the added glossy accents to the sentiment, that's a great idea that for some reason I always forget.

That watercolor wash is really pretty. The colors blend wonderfully and the white butterfly just POPS. And your Christmas card is CASperfection.

Does this mean your 19 day stretch is over? I hope so — that's cruel and unusual punishment even if you are rising before dawn to hang out with cats! ;) (Duncan only does that to us on rare occasions.) I love the watercolour background on the first card! The second one is gorgeous, too.
